Absolutely horrible. This job started around April 20th and still isn't done in a satisfactory manner (today's date is June 21st). RUN from any estimates that Jerome or Melvin Graber provide. First we found out after the job started that the contractor wasn't licensed and had to go to his father to get a permit after having the job shutdown by the county building inspector. While I was out of town he approached my wife stating that the job was complete and that he needed paid (1st week of May). She complied, however, the job was not even close to being finished. The quality of the roofing job was so poor that I decided to have another roofing contractor review the work done and provide an estimate to make it right. He stated that it was the worst roofing job he had ever seen and that it needed to be completely replaced. When I addressed the issues with Jerome Graber he completely dismissed the issues stating that they held no weight because it was a competitor. I arranged for a contractor I had a long standing working relationship with to drive 6 hours to review Jerome's work. Jerome met this contractor and myself and we spent over 2 hours going item by item of the issues that needed fixed. My contractor friend also stated that it was the worst roofing job he had seen in 40 years. A week later Jerome sent me an email stating that he was finished and needed paid. I reviewed the work and the items we had spent 2hrs reviewing were either done extremely poorly or not at all. Jerome called the building inspector in for the final inspection and it failed. The building inspectors have made attempts to arrange a meeting with Melvin & Jerome Graber but as of this date have not received a response. Some examples of the poor quality of workmanship are: drip edges sticking out farther than the the roof shingles, shingles falling off, he was paid an additional 900 to do a complete tear off on the front of the house but he didn't do it and just roofed over the existing shingles, the drip edge is installed so that it overlaps the wrong direction, the section of rolled roof was improperly installed and leaks worse than it did before he "fixed" it; he didn't replace the facia boards correctly and had just attempted to wrap the existing rotten board on one side and the chimney was so poorly wrapped that its beyond description. I wish I could post pictures so that you could actually see just how shabby the workmanship truly is. What I've described are just a few of the issues.
Description of Work: Tear-off & re-roof of house. Replace rotten facia and wrap with aluminum. Replace flashing with step & counter flashing. Replace valleys.
