Over the phone, we discussed prices on a key that wasn’t working anymore to be reprogrammed and one duplicated for a spare. I was quoted $150 for my key to be fixed/reprogrammed and $280 total for my key to be reprogrammed then duplicated for spare. I let him know I was at work but my mother was at my home with my key and the car and she’ll be there to give payment upon completion of work. She gave him the key and he was unable to reprogram it because he said there was corrosion and would have to make a completely new key for $290. I told him I’d pass at that price because the original quote was for two keys at that price and also Ive been quoted way cheaper elsewhere for one key. He then said it’ll be $125 diagnostics fee if I didn’t want to pay 280 for him to make me a new key!! I told him he never discussed a diagnostic fee and he didn’t diagnose anything, I told him before he came the key wasn’t working anymore. I didn’t need to pay $125 for what I already knew and discussed with him prior. Then when my mom came out to get the key back this a****** kept going off about owing him $125 and pulled off refusing to give back my key! (It didn’t work anyways). If he felt he was right to charge me $125 for not being able to reprogram my key cool, take it up with the small claims court, but to take it in your own hands and steal the key from my mom was bs.

Jason was very professional on the phone and while he performed the service. He pulled the cores and took them to his truck to re-key. When he returned he discussed the age of the locks and informed me of the possible problems that could occur in the future. He offered to order new cores and would waive the re-keying charge for the old cores. The pricing was very reasonable and he was the only locksmith that would provide Saturday service without a premium charge. I highly recommend Jason and Another Locksmith.

Jason showed up 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. He was very polite and professional. The job took him about 45 minutes. We will definitely use Jason again and will not hesitate to recommend him to friends, family and co-workers.

"Thank-you for the great review! Actual price was $105 for service call, purchasing 2 new cylinders, rekeying to current key, and a free key. As per discussion, please consider having rest of house rekeyed. It was difficult to pin up new locks due to worn key/pins and trying to match a different person’s work. A complete rekey on your home would ensure proper functionality of all keys on all locks. I would love to opportunity to do this for you in the future if you ever have problems or get fed up with your key and lock situation! We can even provide a free on-site estimate!
