Allied is as much or more to blame for this as Dunmar. And unforseen events do happen. But bottom line, they sold me something they did not provide and my belongings suffered as a result.I agreed to go with Allied/Dunmar only because they promised me my stuff would be picked up and loaded onto the same truck that would make the trip and delivery to my new address. I wanted that because most loss/damage occurs during the intermediated transfers to storage and other trucks. Sure enough, they loaded my stuff onto an smaller truck and into storage multiple times. And in so doing mishandled so severely that they ruptured a solid suitcase, destroying the securely packed family heirlooms inside. Then, despite the contractual language specifying that items I packed would only be covered for damage if what they were packed in showed obvious signs of mishandling, they agreed to only pay for the suitcase, not the items inside. Also, the driver tried to conceal that damage from me.
