A & K DEPENDABLE APPLIANCE SVC

Very professional.  The man went about his business, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it. He found a problem that previous appliance repairmen (Wisemans) didn't.  I like them a lot.  The man that was here wasn't exceptionaly social, but that's ok, it wasn't a social event. He took care of business.  Even when my cat tried to interupt him.  They are now at the top of my appliance repair list.

We could not have asked for better service.  When we called for an appointment, they had an opening with one week.  They gave us a time to call on service day so he could give a more specific arrival time.  He quickly understood what our goal was -- to check on the hood and stove (including vents) and to clean the inaccessible parts if necessary.  He not only cleaned the stove vent that exits through the roof, but he showed us how we could do it ourselves -- warning us of sharp stainless steel metal that could easily cut someone working on it.  He cleaned the vent (after carefully moving rugs and setting down protection on the floor), and I simultaneously cleaned the two baffles which he had removed.  It took us each just short of an hour, and the job was done.  Not only was it clean, but we had a good idea how to do more regular cleaning on it ourselves.  Gary was the service man, and he was not pretentious.  He knew what he was doing and he did it efficiently and thoroughly.  We understand why Clark's Appliances of Indianapolis recommends A & K for all their Fort Wayne customers.

We bought a refrigerator from Lowe's last summer, and the ice dispenser began to malfunction in the winter.  I finally got around to calling for warranty service in April, and Lowe's sent out this company.  The dispatcher was friendly and efficient, and scheduled the service call around my needs.  I didn't catch the technician's name, but he was friendly and prompt, and was able to diagnose and fix the problem within 30 minutes, and was here and gone before I knew it.  My only regret was that I didn't call for service earlier, but I was afraid of a bad or weird experience, and this was neither.  I would call this company if I were spending my own money.
