"A-1 Commercial Roofing has been serving Northern Indiana for over 30 years. Unfortunately for the first time, we have an unhappy previous customer. This is not to say we don't have the occasional problem but we pride ourselves with being diligent in coming back until the problem is taken care of. Just as our bad reviewer mentioned, we came back five times and we certainly would have come back five more till the problem was rectified. As mentioned, this roof project was almost 10 years old and almost out of warranty. At our initial meeting regarding the leak and general condition of the roof, we mutually agreed that some simple general maintenance was necessary to further entend the life of the membrane. The work was performed and a maintenance fee was billed and paid. It was not until the last attempt to fix the leak that we learned another roofing company was shoveling snow off the roof over last winter because she lost her paperwork and did not know who did the roof. Understandable, but unfortunately voids our warranty as stated on our Applicators Warranty. We cannot be held responsible for unrealized problems another company can inadvertainly cause. As for the leak, we made a sincere attempt to fix the problem, but at the 3rd visit we had to look at less obvious potential reasons like havc venting or sweaty copper drain lines in a poorly vented ceiling. We did however continue to try, (on our hands and knees), and find a problem with the roof. We were not given an opportunity to see if our last attempt even worked before this slanderous attack was made against our company. It is unfortunate that some mediation isn't provided between both parties before a damaging review like this is posted. Fortunately the Justice system provides protection against irrevocable damaging slanderous attempts to unjustly harm the reputation of a person or business. And said attacks can be deemed damaging to opportunities for future business, where monetary compensation can and should be awarded. I hope [member name removed] has had an opportunity to reflect on the efforts we made and conclude she was hasty in her nasty and damaging posted and unposted remarks. Our attorney is reviewing this matter and more will updated in the future. Thank you Angies List for the opportunity to respond and rebuke an unwarranted review of this nature."
