Schickel Masonry Restoration

They were really, really good and they did a super job. The person that I interacted with most was Jay. It is a family owned company so his father and his brother would come, and his mother took care of the office work. They were just absolutely wonderful people. The overall experience was great. He and his team showed up when they said they were going to. A lot of it depends on the weather. It's not that they just do masonry, they do other work too. But whatever they have done, they have done well and I have been very happy. I didn't get competitive prices. When I had the bricks sealed, I had gotten the price from them. Actually a couple of years ago, I got several prices. They were right in line with other people, so I don't think that they overcharge. But at the time it was more expensive than what I expected to seal the bricks, so we put it off. Last year, my husband told me to go ahead and get that done. I called them; I thought that they would update the price, but they didn't and they said the price was the same. I said that it was a surprise and I thought they would increase it. They said that the job hadn't increased and that they were not going to charge me any higher. They honored their price that was 3 years old. That was very nice and maybe that's why I like them so much. They did a wonderful job. They were held up quite a bit, but it was because of the weather. They couldn't seal the building until it was not raining and we were going through a rainy spell. When the weather dried up they came, so I would say their responsiveness was satisfactory. Their punctuality was fine too. I have already used them again for a repair that had to be done. I called them back, and it had nothing to do with the original job that they did for me. They did a really good job, and they did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it.
