They came out the day we called, in fact that morning and the unit was fixed quickly. The technician explained the system to my husband with maintenance recommendations. Fast, reasonable, and great work!

They did a great job. They did a service call. The unit wasn't working and the road wasn't smooth. They couldn't get their truck up it so the serviceman agreed that we meet at the end of the driveway; he took the things that he was going to need out of his truck and I drove him out to my house. It was a fair price. They never charged me for the service call. I called 2 other companies and they couldn't help me when I'd just moved into my house. They cleaned up really well.

I called the Book Heating and Air after hours emergency number. Kevin called me back within five minutes, and in another 30 minutes he was at our door. Kevin was very personable, and quickly diagnosed our problem and explained it to my wife and I. He had the parts with him, and within 20 minutes of his arrival, we had warm air flowing through our vents again. Book is a great company to work with, and I never miss a chance to recommend them to my friends and family.

Called early one morning and Larry Book came out early in the after noon with an estimate. Installed as agreed. Later, I had a problem with heating my home.Called them and they came out to try to solve the problem. The problem, was with the installation of my previous furnace. Book's corrected the problem without any charge. This service call was at 9:30pm.

Heat went out Christmas Eve with family on the way to visit. Called Book, they called back in 10 minutes, were on site in 20. Outstanding Technician (Joe) stayed nearly 4 hours to diagnose problem, make temporary repairs and make sure we had heat. Joe and 2 helpers returned Dec. 26 to complete repairs. No charge, warranty on Trane furnace.
All their workers are extra polite and professional. I could not ask for better, faster, more thorough service. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. We will not use anyone else, ever, period.

Our lower level AC unit wasn't putting out cool air. I removed the service panel on the unit and found burnt wires from the contactor to the capacitor. I called them after hours and left a non-emergency message to return my call the next day if possible. Not only did they return my call, but the technician was at my house before 9:00 am and was calling me to describe what he found; damaged wiring, damaged contactor and a capacitor in need of replacement. He gave me a detailed estimate over the phone and I approved the necessary repairs. A short time later he called and told me that while turning the main breaker on to the unit, it arced and blew the main fuse in the house. While this I didn't expect, certainly understood how it can happen. Again, he gave me an estimate over the phone to replace it but said he would need inside the house to turn the power off. My wife and I were both at work and couldn't go home to let him in, but we left our garage door access information with the office and when I returned home after work, the house felt cool and no more issues. Well done.

The person I dealt with was Floyds Knobs, he is the best, and I would swear by him. It is a family business, and we came to know about them when we went to do a whole makeover. Our house was built in about 1989, and in 2000 or 2001, we took different quotes and bids. We had people walk through the house and make suggestions and so forth about the existing duct work, and what they could replace it with. We had decided that we wanted to have the cheapest and the best, so we went with them for a heat pump with a gas backup. He was so knowledgeable that he said he wanted to change the furnace plenum because it was at more than a right angle, and air likes to travel in a curved area. So he changed that, and he made a good suggestion for the electronic air cleaner. He said that they give really great results early on, but then they don't hold up as well, and that they are harder to clean. He talked me into getting a huge baffle and showed me how to clean it. The thing that held me on to them as much as anything was his quote. He said that his work was guaranteed for ten years, and if anything went wrong it would be on him, the parts, the labor, and whatever. I think that is unheard of. I had a friend at church whose furnace went out and he couldn't get anybody to come and even give him a quote, so I told him to call Floyds Knobs. He is very knowledgeable, and extremely fond of his staff. The big companies try to hire such people away because they are so good. He says to tell him what I want my furnace to do, and he will make it work that way. We are talking about programing, range of temperatures and a whole lot of things. They could have sold me a service plan, but they told me that I didn't need a service plan because the service was on them for ten years. I don't think any company would tell me that. They are just a great, great crew, they are very clean, and very efficient.

I wouldn't use them again because I thought their prices were outrageous. Their parts prices were rather exorbitant I thought. I could buy a relay over the Internet myself, which I probably should have done to start with to compare it myself. I could have got a blower relay off the Internet for $13.99 and they charged me $134.00 for it. A capacitor that I could have got for $5.00, they charged $70.00. It's outrageous. It's like 1400 percent and 955 percent over. I could have bought them off over the Internet and I am talking new parts. I would not use the company again for that reason. The service was okay, but their prices for the parts were just ridiculous. The guy was here roughly 45 minutes to an hour. The cost was the parts. Their coming out and all of the labor was $79.00. The guy knew what he was doing. Their call price was okay. Their parts price was ridiculous. I called them one afternoon and they came out the next morning when they said they would. They kind of ripped me off on the price. The guy was courteous and he was professional.

They are local, they do most of the construction in our neighborhood, they were familiar with the house already, they were on time, courteous, and did what they said they were going to do.

Excellent service, fast response; left msg with their service after hours on Thursday and had a call back by 8:15 am on Friday. They scheduled a 2:30 pm Friday service call and had the unit diagnosed by the time I got there. Service was completed in very short order and I was back in business. Service Technician was courteous and knowledgeable. Took time to explain the problem and the fix. Will definitely use Book next time I need an HVAC service.

A/C went out on Thursday evening. Called three companies early Friday morning and left msgs around 7:30 a.m. - Book called back within minutes. Came out later that morning. Found unit low on freon and put in three pounds. Said there were problems with the filter used on the original install. Agreed to come back next spring and check freon level. If low again would check for leak.

They were very prompt and knowledgeable. Price was fair, I thought, for same-day service and the freon plus about 90 minutes spent diagnosing the problem. They gave me info on what to be on the lookout for if the problem recurs.

We were pleased with the company's speed and punctuality, and the price was fair. The service technician was very friendly. He worked efficiently, and we had air conditioning in less than an hour -- great during a heat wave!

We needed to find a new Heating and Air company, and based on our experience from this visit - I think we may have found one. They called first thing that morning to let us know the approximate time they would arrive. Then we received another phone call about 45 minutes before they came. The two repairmen who came out were very courteous and professional and made sure we fully understood the problem by explaining things in a clear and easy to understand way. We were very pleased with their service and look forward to using them again in the future.
