VAN TASSEL'S PROFESSIONAL CLOCK SERVICE & REPAIR

I inherited from my Dad's death an old mantel clock that was no longer working. Clock was one he received when he retired about 26 years ago. It was a German make and I was not sure it could be repaired but Mr. Van Tassel replaced the old movement with a new one and it is working great. I would definitely recommend him to repair your clock since this is the second mantel clock that he has worked on for me.

Mr. Van Tassel did an excellent job in repairing our Grandmother's clock.  It had not been used in over 30 years and now it runs better than it ever did.  If you can be a little bit patient and wait for him to make the repair,  you will be very pleased.  He did an excellent job and we would certainly use him again.  Thank you Mr. Van Tassel

It was great!   Andy picked our clock up and delivered it back to us with in the time period he said (2 weeks).

He quoted us a price of $150 for the repair. The actual cost of the repair was only $135. We were very pleased with that!

Andy is extremely polite and knows his business. We will defiantly use him again in the future for any clock repair. 

Today, Andy came out and started it again and provided much info on what I should be doing to keep it running for many years.   He did this at no charge.

 Mr. Tassel cleaned  my 18 year old grandfather clock in my home.  He was very knowledgeable in his trade and gave me
advice on future maintenance for the clock.  He was prompt and charged a very reasonable price. He also looked at
another clock, a 100 year old shelf clock that still runs. He said that the cost to clean and refurbish would not be worth
the value of the clock. I appreciated that advice.  I will him again  when needed.

He was friendly and knowledgeable. Both of the clocks are running now and he was able to complete minor repairs and tell how how to service the clocks.

I called Andy based on his location, Fishers, and the reviews in Angie's List.  He responded to my message promptly and, after I described the problem, he came by the house at a convenient time within a couple of days, indicating he would just as soon make the house call as have me take the clock to him.  I had just unpacked a clock that had literally been in storage, well-packed and in a controlled climate, for thirty years.  I hung it, oiled it as best I could, but it would not run or even "tick-tock."  Andy grew up in a three-generation clock-business family so he immediately recognized the manufacturer's symbol and knew the name of the German manufacturer.  He quickly disassembled what he needed to, pointed out one bearing that was somewhat worn, determined the springs were OK, and then proceeded to quickly find a bearing that was locked for lack of lubrication after 30 years.  He lubed all the appropriate parts, reassembled the clock, gave me some good pointers on maintenance and adjustment, and was out the door in a little over an hour.  Great person with whom to do business and an incredibly fair price.  Wish I could find plumbers and electricians like this !!

Our clock stopped working after we had to move it to allow new carpeting to be installed.  He provided excellent service at a very fair price.  We greatly appreciate his work and will use this company again.

Response time and service was excellent, I will definitely continue to have Andy service my clock in the future. Andy came to my home, examined the clock to determine what needed to be done, he then took it back to his shop for repair. He called when it was done and scheduled when he would bring it back. I am very satisfied with his work. I thought the repair cost was reasonable.

My clock had been in storage for six months and then move from NY to IN. Andy is very friendly, prompt and expert in clock repair. This repair was very difficult and he stuck with it until he got it running well. The cost was very reasonable and included a good warranty.

I called Andy to set up & service a grandfather clock that had been moved.  He advised me about the condition of the clock & that it needed to be oiled.  He told me the price before he serviced it & set it back up.  While he was here, I had him look at two other clocks.  He serviced the second clock after advising me of the condition & what it needed.  The third clock just needed a new battery.  He advised me on that one & didn't charge anything for it.  Would definitely call him again in the future.

It went wonderfully!  Andy kept us informed throughout the entire process.  It was an old clock and had not been worked on or fixed for many, many years.  It was very sentimental to me.  Andy did a superb job of fixing it and taking care of it for us.  We are grateful!

We moved to a new house in October 2013.  During the process of moving from one house to another we stored our grandfather clock in an outdoor storage unit and did not take much care with it at the time.  It is a Ridgeway manufactured in 1981.  We have owned it since 1999.  Once we got it to our new home we left it disassembled knowing that a professional should set it up properly.  Mr. Van Tassel came to our home and spent over 2 hours attending to the clock.  We had had a lot of problems getting the clock to keep accurate time prior to our move.  Mr. Van Tassel focused on setting an accurate time.  In addition he spent a lot of time educating me on the ins and outs of our clock's function.  I was extremely pleased with his service and am so happy I know have someone to go to in the future when it needs servicing.  Our clock is running great.  It's nice to hear the chiming sounds back in the house.

Andy completely rebuilt our grandfather clock mechanism.  He was prompt in returning our call for the appointment.  When he arrived he diagnosed what was needed, gave us and estimate and took the internal parts with him.  It took about 3 weeks start to finish and the clock has been working perfectly.  I highly recommend Andy and his service.

Very professional and punctual. Mr. Van Tassel only charged me for a service call since he said what he did was minimal to get my clock back in beat. He also looked at another grandfather clock in my home and showed me how to get the chimes back in sync.
