The bride had a trial appointment in the home of the owner of the company. The consultant that did the hair and make-up was not the owner, but provided the services in the owner's home. Airbrush makeup was used as well as fake lashes. The hair style was complimentary. Everything looked great!
The morning of the wedding, the same consultant from the trial appointment traveled from Fishers to Greenwood to be at the bride's location by 5:30am! This consultant did the make-up for the bride and the bridal party and the hair for the bride. A second consultant was scheduled to arrive at 6:00am to begin the hair for the bridal party. Both consultants were on time and ready to go to work! The schedule was to have us all finished by 9:30 am. We were finished by 9:15. These ladies were very professional, they did a great job and stayed on schedule which gave a very long day a wonderful start!

My daughter has thick hair that takes awhile to style and fix. We had it all worked out. We gave them directions to our house and the actual wedding day they called to say they would be running late. When they finally got here, they saved my daughter's hair and makeup for last which left her needing help from her bridesmaids to do touch ups. My daughter was very disappointed. While they were personable and knew what they were doing, I just don't think they did it as well as they could have. They were knowledgeable about the make up and did a good job with the make up, but I feel like they shorted her on fixing her hair. Especially since they'd met with her prior and knew the kind of hair they were getting into. Knowing what I know now, I would not have used them.

We booked True Colors at the recommendation of another bride who had great experience. They are very affordable and loved the fact they come directly to you! Our only frustration - if you can call it that - is that after booking the company they informed us they were switching owners and someone else other than Natalie would be doing the brides hair and make-up. We spoke up and said that's not what we contracted and would like Natalie since that's who was recommended to us. They were VERY accommodating. The work they perform is very good and the convenience of coming to the wedding party is a true selling point. I think my only hesitation comes from the fact they were going through a transition and perhaps not everyone was on the same page. But, I would still recommend their work...as long as you know the exact type of style you want AND aren't afraid to speak up. If you're looking for someone to customize a style for you...then you should stick with your personal stylist.

NATALIE WAS VERY POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. WE FELT THAT THE MAKEUP SHE USED DID NOT STAY IN PLACE AS WELL AS WE WOULD HAVE LIKED, PARTICULARLY THE LIPSTICK. THE HAIR AND MAKEUP APPEARED TO BE MORE THEATRICAL IN NATURE, THAT IS, HEAVIER THAN NORMAL TO STAND UP TO THEATRICAL LIGHTS. WE HAD TO ASK HER TO TONE IT DOWN. ALL IN ALL, AN OKAY BUT NOT FABULOUS JOB.
