I am a fire fighter that suffered a couple of injuries over the last few years which affected my overall strength and conditioning. Kevin is able to work around those issue areas and increased my overall level of fitness. Not only do I have my strength back, I am better than before my injuries. I have been working with Kevin for 6 months and my wife has been seeing him for 3 months. He is great to work with, pushes just enough when needed, but individualizes the workout to your needs within your abilities. I HIGHLY recommend Kevin to help you with your physical fitness goals; whether to get back into shape, or if you want to further your body building to competition (I'm not, only if you wish to).

Kevin does a fabulous job of quick pace, exercise variety & encouragement. He can modify any exercise (I had an injury & couldn't manage certain exercises). If you have never worked with a trainer....schedule with Kevin!

Update: after 6 months, I have lost 50 lbs. I am so pleased with my progress so far. Never could have done it without Stewart Fitness. I cannot even remember the last time I had to use my cane. Looking forward to my continuing journey. I am over 60, significantly overweight, and was completely sedentary, with arthritis in both knees and lower back. I had no experience with fitness training and did not know where or how to begin. I just knew I had to do something. I had to start moving, but I was afraid if I tried on my own, I would cause further damage to my joints. It was vitally important to find the right person to teach me proper technique, encourage me, and push me when needed. With the help of Angie's List, I found him... Kevin Stewart. I have been working with him 3 sessions per week, for two months now, and I can't believe I was so intimidated in the beginning. I was afraid that with my periodic limitations and pain, a trainer might become frustrated with me, but not so! The training is going well, and I am so happy I made this decision. If my knees are bothering me one day, Kevin will immediately adapt and focus on different exercises. He is never out of ideas, and I always leave feeling I had a good workout. I am down 20 pounds and one size, which just motivates me all the more. Kevin always seems as excited as I am. I am pressing and curling weights and doing things I never believed I could do. I will post more updates as I progress, because I do NOT intend to quit. He is punctual, flexible, knowledgeable, and very pleasant to work with.

The workouts are varied, focusing on overall fitness with an emphasis on special areas of concern. It takes commitment and a great deal of time but I feel that it's worth it.
Description of Work: I have trained with Kevin Stewart 3 times a week for over 1 1/2 years. I started with Kevin after a large weight loss. I am over 60 and a fitness wreck. I had never really worked out in my entire life but Kevin had the patience and the knowledge to keep me moving forward to a level of fitness I have not had in a number of years

I have been training with Kevin for 6-7 years (on and off). I have never been disappointed with my workouts. Kevin is very skilled at reading what level of exercise you are able to do. He pushes you to do your very best without feeling 'pushed' into doing it. He's encouraging during your workouts and you can tell he loves his work!!

Kevin is flexible with scheduling workout times and a positive influence on my health both during and after our workout sessions. He has high energy and makes each workout fun and different. Each day presents a new challenge to a muscle group. He is always punctual. More than anything, he shows a genuine interest in making my life better by increasing my health.

For the first several months, I struggled through - always with Kevin Stewart there encouraging me and showing me modifications. 2 years later I am stronger, down nearly 30 pounds, have regained and developed core strength and was able to complete the Dirty Girl Mud Run this year. Kevin knows when to push, how to design workouts for results, and keep things entertaining. He's great to work with. Highly recommend!
Description of Work: I've been taking Stewart Fitness Boot Camps for 2 years now. I initially enrolled after a lower back injury had impacted my overall weight and fitness. I made a decision to get my physical fitness back in order. 2 times a week for 45 minutes Kevin puts us through a challenging workout designed to help boost cardio fitness, strength, and overall conditioning. We do everything from running up and down stairs to weight training. The workouts are dynamic and never the same.

In October, 2011 after falling a couple times outside, I decided to take my life back and to try to get healthy and in better physical shape. I also hope to lose weight however losing weight has always been a struggle for me. To make a long story short, my body does not respond like normal to diets and exercise. I have an extremely low metabolism. My doctor has said there's no medications out there to help me but she still expects me to figure how to lose this stubborn weight. I don't know if I will ever lose the weight but I can't seem to give up trying. I decided besides just doing cardio at the gym that I needed extra help. That's when I started working out with Kevin Stewart. Even though my body continues to be stubborn about losing weight, Kevin doesn't give up on me and has helped me to become a lot stronger and steadier. I always feel so much better after our workouts. He is always encouraging me when I get discouraged and offering me good advice on nutrition and exercise. I also have appreciated suggestions and help from Kevin's wife, Jennifer. Kevin and Jennifer make a great team and will help you get healthier and stronger. They help me to feel better about myself.
Description of Work: I needed help to lose weight and try to get healthy. I wanted to improve my flexibility, functionality and strength after taking a couple of hard falls.
