Spent $100 on grooming for my Chow. I went to the trouble to have 27 pics developed, provided to the groomer, demonstrating what his cut should look like and offered specific instructions. The mutilated his coat entirely. When calling to speak to manager, Cameron, he left one voicemail and now the location will not pick up when I call. I can only assume that my phone number has been tagged on their caller ID. They apparently do not wish to resolve or acknowledge their own short comings. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!

I have 5 year old mixed-breed rescue pup that was in need of a good grooming as we head into the warmer months. My family came into the shop and had great interactions with three staff members that made us feel at home and our dog very comfortable. They're big rescue advocates so we chatted about that for a bit, which was nice and welcoming.
Our dog headed into the back groom area with ease; something that doesn't happen so well at the vet or previous groomers we've been to.
After 4 hours, we returned to pick doggy up and he came out to greet us, tail going crazy and smiling with his goofy tongue out.
We were also advised to keep him on a regular grooming schedule, and the groomer said every 5-6 weeks would be best for him.
The best part, if we do, we save 10% of the groom. A great deal, to be sure.
We were all very impressed with the efficiency and charm of Purrs and Gurrs and will be returning for our dog's next grooming appointment in 5 weeks!

Recently we decided to give purrs and gurrs one more try as a groomer. We had left them before years ago when they tried to give us the wrong yorkie even though we kept insisting that it was the wrong dog, (luckily another employee came to the rescue and took the other dog back and brought us our dog). That was years ago so we took our miniature schnauzer in for a basic schnauzer cut. They called me later saying that my dog was too nervous for them to finish the groom. I told the manager that this was confusing because he doesn't have a problem at his regular groomer. The manager told me that it was probably due to the fact that they are very busy on Fridays and their environment is particularly noisy. I found this surprising due to the fact that, while I usually have to schedule days ahead at my regular groomer, they were able to offer me more than one appointment time for a same day appointment. When I picked up my dog they applied a 20% discount due to the fact that they hadn't finished the groom. I emailed them through yelp and directly asking for a list of what they had accomplished (their grooming package is a 10 item list). Days later I had still not received a response so I called them. The manager told me over the phone that only the bath portion of the groom was completed. When I asked why I was charged 80% for 30% of the services at best he told me that ear cleaning, teeth cleaning, nail filing, and gland expressing are considered free services as part of the groom. I mentioned to him that we had brought our dogs to his facility just to have their nails trimmed and paid 15$ for the service. Overall I am very disappointed with the whole experience. Several statements that were made did not seem truthful. I will be returning to our regular groomer.

We have had our dog groomed at Purrs and Gurrs several times and they always do a fantastic job. We know he's really taken care of here. It's always very clean and they're always friendly.

This is the 3rd time we have used Purrs and Gurrs for our cat and we will continue to do so. Nicole is the name of the young lady who grooms our cat and she is absolutely wonderful!!! Our cat looks and feels wonderful. He coat looks great and her nails are very smooth. The entire staff is extremely helpful and show a tremendous amount of affection for our cat. She is always calm when we get her home and although a bit shy about getting out of her carrier when we drop her off, she is already purring because of all the attention she is getting from the young ladies who work there. I highly recommend Purrs and Gurrs to anyone who has a pet that needs to be groomed!!! They have a wonderful resident cat, also.

They were very comforting to her and she was calm and pretty when we picked her up. We dropped her off at 11am and they called us about 3pm when she was finished. This is about what we are used to and the price, I feel, was right in line with what we used to pay. We already have her next appointment booked!

She asks that we leave pets at her store and then she picks them up and takes them home. She said she only took 3 or 4 animals at once. She would send photos to us so we felt confident about their care. We have since found out she had crates stacked in the garage. My animals were always very thirsty when then came home. I don't believe she was feeding and watering them properly while they were in her care. We could never go to her home, we were only able to do the exchange at her store. We trusted her. She leads clients to believe the animals are in a home/family setting and that is not the case.

This seriously slanderous review has been posted by a client who clearly has had a conversation with a specific, terminated employee OR someone else who has repeated a conversation with said terminated employee. …a terminated employee whom my company is suing for theft of client information, company property and most recently slander because we have been notified by other clients of her spreading the exact verbal garbage that [member name removed] references in her review. I do in fact ask that clients leave their pets at my store for pick-up for various reasons: 1) my husband is a firefighter that works 24 hour shifts and does not feel comfortable with people knowing where his wife and young son live. 2) my family deserves to have a home that does not operate like a business with a revolving door 3) clients often travel when I am not available to meet them so they leave their pets in our daycare until I am able to pick them up. Because of these reasons, I have a photo album in my store and on our company Facebook page for clients to see where their pets are staying. Additionally, as [member name removed] has stated, I send photos to the owners of pets in my care throughout the duration of their stay with me. If [member name removed] would have contacted me prior to leaving this disturbing and defaming review, to which her only source material is the word of a disgruntled, ex-employee, I would have gladly shared with her the pages of our lawsuit against said employee. As for her remarks that I do not properly feed or water Max and Molly while in my care, I then question why she continued to leave them in my care for the following stays: September 23, 2013 for 4 nights August 12, 2013 for 8 nights July 22, 2013 for 9 nights June 23, 2013 for 6 nights June 13, 2013 for 1 night May 6, 2013 for 2 nights January 13, 2013 for 2 nights November 24, 2012 for 4 nights September 11, 2012 for 4 nights July 22, 2012 for 10 nights June 27, 2012 for 1 night April 7, 2012 for 10 nights I attempted to post a Quickbooks’ screen shot of this client’s history, but your website would not allow it. Upon the advice of our legal counsel, I am kindly requesting that this review be removed immediately."

I absolutely loved this place, I took my puppy for his first time daycare, it was hard but they were so nice and reassuring.. i even called a couple of times just to check on him - GREAT staff, came in to pick him up.. they were making him HOMEMADE cookies.. how sweet is that! they gave me a report on him while i was checking out and how he did.. which i loved hearing :) i would for sure recommend this place to anyone!!

I took him in to get groomed and when he came out he looked good and clean but not like he had gotten a hair cut. Then when I took him home a day or so later he was scooting on the floor again.Clearly they did not clean him good enough (I know thats gross sorry). I have been there a few times and I am never impressed but I go back when my regular groomer is not available. They can normally fit you in same day. If you take your dog there make sure to be very specific because for the price they should do they job they say they will do. I am also VERY afraid of cats and they have cats wondering around the floor. I told the woman I was afraid of cats and she said..."well don't show them and they won't bother you".....really???? You couldn't come over and move the cat? I won't go back in there.

I called on a Tuesday to inquire about their grooming rates, as I was a new customer. The lady on the phone asked me what I needed done. I said, I have a Golden Retriever that I needed to have shaved/cut down for the summer. The lady said, we'll have to include our typical full groom with that, as we can't just cut down the fur without bathing, it will ruin our tools. That was perfectly fine with me. She told me it would be $55. I set the appt for Thursday. A day later, I decided my new Brussels Griffon puppy needed to be groomed around his face, as he would not sit still for me to do it. I called to ask their pricing to groom him. $30, I was told. Ok, we added him to the same appointment. I took my dogs in on Thursday morning, no problems. We did not discuss pricing as I dropped them off, though we discussed in detail what I wanted done. When I went to pick them up, the lady said the total was, $105. I said, I was told the price would be $85 total, $55 for my Golden, $30 for the puppy. The lady said no, the price is $65, and then $10 for shaving her down. And, $25 for the puppy. Which, is actually $100, not $105 by the way. I said, I was specifically told on the phone for the groom AND shaving it would be $55. I specified exactly what I wanted done, and wanted to know the cost. She said, we would never have told you that! Really, so I'm a liar, and just pulled that price out of thin air?! She stepped in the back, asking the groomer if we discussed pricing in the morning. She came back out and said, I'll take the $10 shaving cost off, since that wasn't discussed with you this morning. Again, I reiterated it was fully discussed on the phone. I decided to stop arguing, paid the bill, and left. My dogs were dying of thirst when we got home, I refilled their water bowls twice....I do not think they were given water while there.

My wife called in. They "did her a favor" by getting her dog in. Told her his appointment would be 12:30. She gets stuck at work and calls me to see if I can go get him. I was downtown but had a window so I drove to Fishers and arrived around 3:15. I was told to come back 6:45-7:00 and I wouldn't be charged a fee for being there after close since she was going to be cleaning up. I drove back downtown and came all the way back to make sure I was there before 7pm. I was greeted with an attitude. They couldn't wait to charge me $20 for being late. When I told them what the groomer told me I was called a liar. I walked out, collected my thoughts and sent my daughters in to get the dog. They charged me an addition $10!!! When I went back in, I was again called a liar. Voices were raised and I was asked to leave. With pleasure! This place is not clean, there is a terrible smell in there as I have been in a couple of times prior and they don't seem to mind. The ownership is rude and unprofessional. Many other options in the area. Avoid this place at all costs.

I have a Persian cat and I like to keep his hair short. I went there for a lion cut, when I picked him up he smelled so bad (the lady said he had an accident) but I take him to groomers for the last year and never happened. I scheduled the appointment on Saturday and they told me to come Monday morning at 7 AM only when there aren`t dogs around, but as soon as I went in the store there was this dog barking like crazy and I almost left (which I should have done); the lady said that that dog is there for boarding :)) I used to go to Petsmart in Noblesville near Best Buy before and the lady doing cats is FANTASTIC , her name is Gina. I wanted to switch groomers since besides Gina, everybody else is very rude and have a nasty attitude towards customer. I thought that a family owned place would do a better job, but I was wrong. Guess I`ll go back to my former place from now on.

I have used this company a few times in the past because they are very good at taking last minute appointments. While I have been satisfied with the hair cut overall, I have not been very impressed with the amount of time they require your pet to be there nor with customer service. I simply asked why it took over five and a half hours for a simple hair cut on my small dog. As a response to my question, the male employee asked me if I were a certified groomer and how would I know how long it takes to cut an animal's hair. I merely stated that I was unhappy knowing that my dog spent over five hours in a crate. My appointment was at 11:30 and I called to check in at 3:30 after being told he would be ready for pick up in 3-4 hours. The girl stated that he had not even been seen but could be ready by 5:00. I am just upset that they would take an appointment so early in the day but not see your pet until they have sat there for several hours under stress. It is unfortunate that I feel like they do a good job at making my dog look cute but I will never take him back to this place.

Cristi (the owner) is very responsive. She replies to any email instantly. She has always been available to pet sit on short notice, even during holidays (New Year's day, etc). The only issue we've had over the years is that the first couple of times we used them, one of her employees set off the house alarm, which resulted in a police visit and some fines for a false alarm. Not the type of call you want to receive while in a different country! Once we brought this to the attention of Cristi, she again was very responsive and vowed to personally pet sit our house, and we have had no issues since. Also last year we were stuck at our destination because of flight cancellation, and emailed her to extend the services. She confirmed instantly.

We started to buy our dog's pet food at this store because it is just a block from our office. They carry the brand of food we use and when we stopped in to "look around" the person working at the store made a nice impression with their concern. Offering as many samples of the food that we wanted and all with no pressure. We started buying the food there and they always have it in stock in the resealable bag size. Worth the extra dollar or so above the "big box" stores just knowing they actually care for the animal well being at this store.

Overall, this was terrible!! We have now secured a reliable, trustworthy pet sitter - he takes good care of our dog and lives up to his promises -T.Herbst. Cristi on the other hand, was a terrible shock and disappointment to us - we trusted her with our dog and never thought she would cheat us like this. We even waited awhile to confront her about this to see whether this was a short-term issue or an ongoing one. Sadly, this was something she had been doing for quite a while. Had we not had documented proof that she was cheating us we never would have suspected a thing. Cristi also handled the matter unprofessionally - she was always readily available and responsive to us. That is until we asked her to meet face-to-face to discuss some concerns we had - she went to great lengths to avoid meeting with us in person. We eventually discussed matters with her via the phone because she wanted to avoid a face-to-face meeting. Very unprofessional after she knew she had been caught.

When I contacted Cristi about her pet sitting and dog walking services she was very informative and friendly over the phone. She set up an appointment with us to meet our labs and explain in detail her services. Cristi immediately bonded with our male lab and that is a wonderful thing she he can be somewhat standoffish. We have been very happy with our choice of pet sitter/dog walker. Our labs look forward to their weekly walks with Cristi, and she always has a special treat for them. During her weekly walks, Cristi also brings in our mail and trash cans and always provides a report on how the dogs did. Cristi and her employees are wonderful.

A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. CRISTI COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE ACCOMMODATING. IT WAS AT SHORT NOTICE, AND SHE WENT OUT OF HER WAY TO HELP US OUT. DESPITE THE COST, IT WAS A GREAT LOAD OFF OUR MINDS TO HAVE OUR 2 DOGS SO WELL CARED FOR. CRISTI CALLED US TWICE DURING OUR TIME AWAY TO UPDATE US ON HOW THE DOGS WERE DOING.

When I met Cristi I knew my dogs were in good hands. She has a spectacular personality and a sheer love of animals. I've called and e-mailed Cristi last minute and she always comes through for me. There hasn't been a single weekend or vacation that we've had to find someone else; Cristi is so flexible.
