PORTER PAINTS

The wall paint looked good and covered well. The trim paint was a disaster - it wasn't mixed/matched properly, it never leveled and left brush marks everywhere, it is sticky, and the gloss is blinding. It was supposed to be Satin, and it is High Gloss. We complained, but the painter said that it would level, fade, and look great with time. It needed to dry. We trusted his opinion, so we waited over a month, and it was still glossy and felt sticky. The color match was so bad, you could see where the doors and trim weren't completely covered. We decided to go straight to the source to find out what went wrong and how it could be fixed.
We went to Porter Paints with the correct trim paint and their match on two separate pieces of paper and they agreed the match was incorrect. They sent an email to their representative and asked that he contact us to come look at the paint. He contacted us 3 days later, set up a time to look at the paint and to do an assessment. We simply wanted to know what could have gone wrong, and then how to fix the issue, so we looked forward to his input and guidance.
The rep never showed up for our appointment, he never gave us the courtesy to call and explain why his missed the appointment, and he never responded to our call following up on the missed appointment. Since then, we have had an estimate to fix the trim with new paint, and it will require sanding the old paint, doing some priming, and repainting everything, which will cost over $1,000.
I don't recommend Porter Paints to match paint, and obviously they don't care about their customers.

They were very open to mixing samples and making sure you had the paint colors you needed for your house. The painting contractor who we use uses them.

We picked the colors we liked and they answered all our questions. They were having a great memorial day sale! I would recommend there Silken Touch paint. (top of the line!)

They are great and we love their paint. They have always been very helpful and professional. Their prices are higher but they are worth it.

After I told the man I would wait, he told me that I was acting "hasty". He continued to be rude to me. I asked to see the manager, and he said that "I was going after his job". I told him I would still like to speak to the manager. Another man, Mike, offered to help me with whatever I needed. He was very polite and corrected the paint for me and he had the time to do it right then, unlike Andrew, who gave me a hard time. I'm not angry at the service of this company, I am just appalled at the way Andrew treated me, the customer.
