Kevin was out to my house about an hour after I called.  He fixed the problem quickly and efficiently.  I downgraded slightly on price although I'm not sure he isn't charging standard fees, I think this type of service is too expensive generally.

I contacted Kevin in the morning and dropped the computer ay his home that afternoon. That was on a Friday. He called the next morning to say it was ready for pick up. I was going out of town so didn't pick up until Monday. Kevin explained what he had done. The computer works like new.

Kevin got here at 1:00pm (right on time), asked me what was going on, and I told him my computer was "gummed up" that I wasn't able to get on it to work this day.  He dug into the computer works and removed all the non-workable items and got rid of AVG (which he had to do manually) because it just wouldn't let go, and that took some time.

We called Nerds on Call to fix our internet connectivity in the house. He explained his pricing and said that we would be charged per hour. If he was there for 10 minutes, we would still be charged the hourly service so we may want to have up to an hour's worth of repair to get more of our money's worth. We thought it was worth cost even if it took a short period of time. Kevin, owner of the business, came on time. He literally took about 5 minutes from the time he walked in the door to fixing the problem. I remembered we had a jack in our house that has NEVER worked in our house so I decided to see if he could fix that problem. He had that figured out in about 40-45 minutes. I have NO question in my mind that he could fix any problem that could arise in our house. He said that the network that was set up in our house (done by a vendor who's not defunct) was done well so he could follow what they did, but that it was probably more complicated than a small business. I will DEFINITELY call Kevin, N*** on Call, in the future for any networking issue we have.

I called around 11am and got in touch with Kevin. He ran down the pricing and how he worked and said he had a cancellation for the afternoon so he could get to me today for a house call. He showed up on time and got right to work. He was able to get the computer running much faster and got rid of some long standing problems. He was honest with me when I asked about a particular problem - he said that it would take a lot of his time (my money) to fix a particular boot up problem that is easily "canceled" on start up. He recommended leaving it alone to save money. He suggested an online backup service and removed problem programs and suggested/installed a free virus scan program available from my ISP. He took a few phone calls while he was here and did not charge me for that time. I understand that his business runs essentially via cell phone so I understand that he has to take calls and since I was not charged for that time, I was not bothered.

Wow. What a great job. Doug was the tech's name. He did not mess around and got right to business and was obviously very skilled. I could hardly keep up with him but was assured he could find the problem and help get me back on track. He was also very personable and explaining to me exactly what he was doing and what needed to be done. He also helped me to get free AOL and installed the virus software that did not cost anything. I am so HAPPY. I highly recommend them and will keep their number handy for any future problems. They really saved the day for me.

We have used Nerds on Call previously (2 other times to first set up a DSL line and network and again to enhance and expand the network) and had had such a wonderful experience. I immediately called Kevin again when my computer had issues. He was able to come out the very next day and quickly and efficiently corrected my computer's issues. The computer no longer shuts down and is much faster! I asked him to help with another unrelated computer issue since he was already there and he was kind enough to walk me through the process so that I could solve it. He is so responsive and dependable as well as very knowledgable. His prices are very competitive and he doesn't charge a travel fee like other companies do. I highly recommend Kevin!!!

THE SERVICE I AM GETTING FROM BOTH THE COMPUTER AND VCR/DVD EQUIPMENT IS WORSE NOW THAN BEFORE THEY CAME. I HAVE USED BOTH THE SCANNER WITH THE COMPUTER AND THE DVD WITH THE TELEVISION SET WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS FOR QUITE SOME TIME. SINCE APPARENTLY BOTH THE SCANNER AND DVD WERE DISABLED AS A RESULT OF THEIR WORK I AM IN WORSE SHAPE NOW THAN I WAS BEFORE THEY CAME.

"THE MEMBER CALLED FOR COMPUTER HELP, AND ALSO MENTIONED THAT HE HAD A PROBLEM SETTING UP A VCR. I TOLD HIM THAT WE WOULD LOOK AT THE VCR AND SEE IF WE COULD HELP THERE TOO. HIS COMPUTER AND "TV/VCR" CONFIGURATION WERE MORE COMPLEX THAN ORDINARY (MULTIPLE DEVICES CONNECTED TOGETHER THROUGH OTHER DEVICES). THE TECHNICIANS HELPED THE BEST THEY COULD UNDER THE CIRCUMSTANCES, SPENT 1.5 AND HOURS AND UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE MEMBER STOPPED. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE MEMBER CALLED AND WE WERE ABLE TO GET THE SCANNER WORKING AGAIN. WE DO NOT PROVIDE VCR REPAIR AND ONLY INDICATED TO THE MEMBER THAT WE WERE FAMILIAR WITH SETTING UP A VCR AND WOULD LOOK AT IT AND TRY TO HELP. THE OUTCOME OF THIS CALL IS NOT WHAT WE WISHED IT WOULD BE. GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO RETURN AND CORRECT THE ISSUES WE WOULD HAVE GLADLY DONE SO AT NO COST."
