+ -1 moreMike was always on time and provided valuable insight if anything occurred in the process. He met our budget and exceeded our expectations with our flooring and backsplash. He worked well with all our other contractors in order to complete the project.
Description of Work: Mike was our general contractor for our bathroom and kitchen remodel. He provided great sub contractors for painting and granite countertops. Mike and his crew did our demo in the kitchen, our LVT floors in both bathroom and kitchen, our electrical, can lighting, drywall and installation of accessories. Mike personally did our mosaic tile backsplash that turned out great. The project was really just a face lift and not a complete remodel. Mike was great with recommendations on flooring, faucets, lighting etc.

+ -1 moreWe had started the project ourselves, but it was more complicated than we anticipated, and will require some repair work as well as demo and setting tile. Although he did not have room in his schedule to complete the project in the timeframe we required (we needed it done VERY quickly - company coming), he went above and beyond by taking the time to explain the process, was very caring and honest and spend over an hour with us discussing options. Mike seems very skilled and knowledgeable, and although we haven't had any work done yet, we will call on him in the future.
Description of Work: We are looking to replace our kitchen backsplash, and Mike was able to come out the day we called to take a look at the project and give us an estimate.

+ 0 moreI called Mike & explained what I needed. We set a time for him to see the deck. He was prompt and he gave me a price which included puchase of the stain. Mike explained the time needed to power wash the deck, allow for it to dry, then apply the stain a short time later- weather permitting. He followed through on all of that and I am very pleased with the work he did. I will call Mike again for small jobs or big ones.
Description of Work: Power washed our deck and applied stain on deck later when deck was dry and had time to dry before a rain.

+ -1 moreMike Thalheimer did a good job. It was the old three hour deal. He basically took care of a bunch of drywall situation we had in the house. However, he wasn’t able to rectify the one we had in our garage which was a major one. He said he didn’t have enough time and would need another couple of hours to do that. He was able to take care of the main ones in the house which was great. His price was great. I would use his services again in the future.
Description of Work: Mike Thalheimer is the handyman I used for some drywall work about a week and a half ago.

He needed help because the vanity top was heavy marble; I wasn't sure I could handle it and so he called a friend to come over and help him. His friend was over in a few minutes and helped him move it in. His friend left and Mike completed the rest of the work. He looked at another problem outside that I have and though he isn't licensed to help outside, he gave me a lot of ideas about it and recommended a friend of his that did outside work. I always wish the price was less and I didn't get other estimates but I think his price was fair. He was the best.

+ 0 moreHis visits went extremely well. There was one hitch for him however.. He had reassured me about the workings of my alarm system so I started using it again. One evening when I was not at home, I turned it on, not knowing that he would be coming over after I left ( he had keys to the house) . You guessed it. The alarm went off and he had the embarrassment and annoyance of having to deal with the police. I felt terrible but he was very good-natured about it all. I gave him a gift card for suchi to make amends!
Description of Work: Mike was excellent. I asked him to do a number of different jobs; eg. replace a basement banister , change bulbs in flood lights, wrap insulation jacket round water heater, reinforce door locks etc. Pam young

+ 5 moreThe job involved tile work, drywall work, electrical work, flooring, carpentry and plumbing. We used somebody else for painting. I was very happy to work with him. He was very clean. He came and talked about what he was going to do. He was very creative. He came up with different ideas. He considered it as if it was his own home. He did a total remodel of our kitchen, dining room and bathroom. He was very involved with the work. When the remodeling for the bathroom was going on, we picked up the wrong tile. He went to the tile store, checked out the tiles and then we spoke back and forth over the phone about it. He was very good. We spent about $9,000. We will use him again in the future.

He really knows what he is doing-- after talking to him, I wanted to have him install flooring throughout our house too, unfortunately the timing wasn't going to work with my schedule. He was also great about telling me what he was doing and how to do a couple of things myself rather than hiring them out. I would happily hire him for similar or bigger projects in the future.
Description of Work: Repaired fence gates, replaced mailbox post, caulked around a window, worked on a problem we had with our front porch post, fixed sinking bricks in our patio, installed an attic ladder and attic subflooring. He shortened a cabinet in preparation for some new flooring and added two gutter extensions.

+ 0 moreI called Mike on approximately May 24. He was able to get to us on June 1. The agreed-upon arrival time was 4:30 - 4:45 PM. He was here and ready to go to work at 4:45 on the dot! We walked around the house to determine the best course of action and he did the job to our complete satisfaction.
Description of Work: Mike removed maple seeds from our roof and gutters. He also did a small amount of pruning of trees which were rubbing against the roof and gutters. In order to get all of the seeds out of the gutter, it was necessary to remove, then replace, several sections of gutter cover.

+ 4 moreMike did a great job working with our budget and getting this done in just a few weeks. Not only did he do great work, he actually gave me pointers on how to do jobs on my own. Mike was honest about his pricing and laid everything out concisely in his quotes. Nothing came in over the quoted price. I looked at had two other contractors bid out the work and Mike was substantially less. I would use Mike again and again!
Description of Work: Mike layed ceramic tile (12" brick pattern) in my entry way and front 1/2 bath. He reset the vanity and toilet, and replaced the plumbing lines. He completly remodeled my guest bath, first demoing down to the studs and then replacing plumbing lines, placing a tub/shower inset, placing new vanity, installed new medicine cabinet, vent fan, can lights, and toilet. Also laid a mosaic ceramic tile in the guest bath (1"x1/2"). A great subcontractor placed the new drywall. A new door was hung as well to allow for a larger toilet in the guest bath. Mike also laid a 6" ceramic tile in my master bath and placed new toilet, vanity, vanity mirror, vanity light, and replaced the plumbing lines. He also installed a new water heater. Mike then installed new supply lines to my washer/dryer as well. At the end of all the projects, Mike had a great drywall guy come in to patch all of the joints.
