I like the Zumba class. They don't charge extra for the classes, you just pay the monthly fee. You pay an additional fee for a personal trainer, and they really try to push you to get a personal trainer. They did that to me when I joined first. I told them that I didn't want to pay so much money, and somehow they talked me into it, but I was glad I did it. I worked with the trainer for 2 or 3 years before the trainer moved, and then I moved as well. The problem is that it is very busy when I go there. The exercise room front is not elevated, and it is difficult to see the instructor if you are not in front. It is crazy packed after new years. My biggest complaint is that they don't provide towels, or hair dryers, so you have to carry your own. Once you get used to it, it is not a problem. I used to go to another gym and they used to have it. There was Cardinal Fitness which closed down, and their members were transferred to LA Fitness, and these members pay less than me. I pay $30 per month, and they pay $20 per month. I paid an initiation fee of $200 about 5 years ago. There is no communication. You find out when you go there that power is out for a few hours, and the place is closed. That has happened 3 or 4 times, and I thought that they should have a good communication system. You can text all members to say no classes today. I live very close to the fitness club, and I go there and find out that they are closed so it is not a big deal, but there are people who come from half an hour. I don't think that is really nice.

The one thing that is nice about it, is that it has a specific training area, specific weights, kettle balls and specific training equipment, which is specifically for people who are training. You don't have to wait, and you are done in 25 minutes. I started with Derek a year earlier, and I told him to challenge me, and to make it hard. He has made it extremely challenging. He knows when to push, and when to target an area where you are needing help. He is a very easy guy, on Halloween he was dressed up in a costume. We ended up liking each other on face book, and he gives out fitness tips on his page. He has a wide age range of clients. He has a good way about working with you, pushing you. He knows my limit, and he has been careful to increase my ability. Availability has been a problem. He pays attention. I have arthritis in my back, and he knows about it, and doesn't forget.

LA Fitness - Fishers is convenient, clean and the people are real friendly. They've got a swimming pool and steam room.

The gym has a large variety of equipment and various types of classes. We have not been members for a long time, so we are still exploring the available workout options. The available child care is sufficient, though has some major breaks in available hours, which you have to work with. Overall it is a fine facility, pretty standard for a gym.

The gym is nothing special and pretty small for all the members who go here. It's close to where I live but I have to go to another LA fitness if I want to workout after work because it's just so crowded. I visit this gym when I want to work out at night (around 9 p.m.). The staff is nice and it seems to be clean. If they run out of sanitizer or paper towels, it gets replaced quickly. The membership cost is okay.

I have been a member of LA fitness at the Cumberland location for about 2 years now. They have a great property, though is often overcrowded (especially right after work, 4:30pm to about 7pm). It's often tough to find a treadmill at this time. THe equipment is all new though and I feel comfortable working out there. They have a basketball court, workout/class room (list of classes is extensive), a Yoga studio, three racquetball courts, and a three lane swimming pool. I will continue to be a member as long as possible.

Since joining LA Fitness, I have enjoyed attending several of the free classes offered. I really wanted to try yoga and the fitness center offers several classes at different times during the week so I am often able to find one that fits my schedule several times a week. All of the instructors I have encountered have been very professional and knowledgeable about what they are teaching. The fitness center is very clean and the set-up is efficient. They can always use more cardio machines since those are very popular and if you go during peak hours you might have to wait 30 minutes before getting a treadmill. The only thing I did not enjoy about joining the gym was that for about the first 3 months, one of the personal trainers continuously called me to set up my free personal training session. However, I did not want to participate in this and even though I stated that, they kept trying until they had called x amount of times. Otherwise, I have had all positive experiences.

They have up to date equipment ,work out machines, a pool and various training classes. They have a nice locker room and good racquet ball courts. There can be some issues getting on machines ( especially cardio) right after normal work hours around 5-7pm. All in all its a good place.

I like this LA Fitness location, it's big and has plenty of machines, weights and cardio. My only complaints are that the women's locker room is often filthy with overflowing trash and gross stalls.

I have been going to them for about 6 months but nothing in particular stands out. I normally go about 3 times per week.

There was a workout place called Cardinal Fitness that I had been a member with. They then closed down, but apparently LA fitness took over the account. I did not know this happened, but they continued charging me a monthly fee for being a member, even though I had never been there. I had not knowledge of this and had never agreed to the membership.
Then, we had lost our credit card and canceled the account, they then contacted me to let me know that they needed a new credit card number to prevent further charges on my account!

I really liked LA fitness. The person that signed me up for the membership knew I was going off to college in a few months, so he advised me how to cancel my membership properly so I wouldn't get ripped off. Like I said earlier, the gym is HUGE. There is never a line to wait for anything. There are also free classes that you can take when you're a member. I took yoga, pilates, and boxing - and enjoyed them all even though I wasn't experienced. They have a pool and a sauna, and very nice bathrooms/locker rooms. I definitely got my money's worth even though I think it was a bit overpriced. I was very happy with my experience with LA Fitness and I recommend it to people who are looking for a quality gym, as long as they can afford it.

I chose LA Fitness for a gym membership because they had a location convenient to my office and another one convenient to my home. They also had a nice promotional rate going on at the time I was looking.
Overall, I would say it a good, average experience. I only maintained the membership for about 6 months, but this was really just due to being able to get a better rate through my employer at another gym. I didn't quit due to any bad experience or problem with LA Fitness.
Pros - You can get in and out quickly, without many kids running around; child care is located up front, and costs extra, so you don't see kids running around the facility; there is plenty of available weight and cardio equipment, and I never had to wait for anything; I love the spinning classes too!
Cons - Use of some amenties costs extra, like the pool and water fitness classes, and the raquetball courts.

We like them because they have a swimming pool and I give them a B rating.
