Fishers Appliance Repair

This was the worst experience with a repair person of my life. First off I called Fisher appliance repair as I had used them in the past with good results. There was no answer so I left a message. My call was retuned from a call center out of Florida. I scheduled am appointment with what I thought was Fishers Appliance repair. A tech showed up at the appointment time and met with my wife. We were informed the icemaker needed to be replaced and it would be another $500. We wrote the check for the service call to Estibol Services (not Fishers Appliance repair). Should have known something was up at that point but continued on. They showed up and replaced the icemaker ($500). It did not work but we were told it would be okay in a few hours. Fast forward...icemaker still doesn't work, multiple lies and missed trips. Still no refund after several promises and more lies. Advice...never hire Fishers Appliance repair or Estibol services.

On May 27th, they came out to try and fix the fact that my fridge didn't get any water to the ice-maker. They left an hour or two later, and demanded a $319 check on the spot before they left. The fridge now leaks water out of the water dispenser and has for 4 ½ weeks. At the time, the repairman said it was just water in the line and it would eventually stop. About four hours after he left the fridge was still leaking water, and the ice maker was still not working. I continued to call, and after no response I got a bad feeling and realized they shouldn’t be paid until the job was done correctly. I called the bank and cancelled the check. After several unanswered calls/voicemails to the shop and texts to the repairman, he finally responded and told me that regardless of my fridge leaking water, he wouldn’t come out until tomorrow and he’d come get his part, put my old one back on and return the check at that time. The story changed later and said he couldn’t return the part and we needed to pay for it. He never came back. A couple days later we got a phone call from a check cashing establishment in Fishers saying the check had been cashed and because the bank refused to give them the money, that we as well as the repairman were responsible. I called the shop and gave them this information, Adam pretended like he was shocked and said he’d “get to the bottom of this”. He assured me that the repairman would return to swap out the part, and we would not be responsible for any payment. Adam called back and told me the money had been returned to Ace Cash Express and that the repairman said he had a receipt. Someone is lying because I just called that place a few minutes ago and the money still shows delinquent in their systems. I talked to the manager several times, he was so nice on the phone and seemed appalled at my situation. This was clearly just a well-practiced scam artist. He's very convincing in his apologies but now won’t return my phone calls or text messages now. The story seems unbelievable if you ask me but this nightmare of a company really does exist. 47 text messages, probably half a dozen phone calls and 3-4 voicemails and they still haven’t come back to fix my fridge.

It went fine. They were fast and responsive

So he cleaned the pump of the threads & hair, ran a test cycle and asked my husband to write a check for $175 to his girlfrind since she handles his business accounts ?????? When I got back to the house I ran a small load and it was ok the next load.....not so much! Some of the clothes were still dry after completing the wash cycle and there was water leaking on the wood floor.

I called to complain on Tuesday 5/31 after the holiday weekend and was told they would have David get back to me.....that took over 6 hours and when he did I could not understand 90% of what he said. I did get that he thought now I needed a new main computer board and that I should order one from an online site and he could probably put it on for not much money! Then when I spoke with Fishers Appl. Repair and told them I was very unhappy and was going to compain to the BBB and Angie's List they promised to get back to me by 5:00pm yesterday. Wrong.....so I called again today and spoke to them once again and was told they would get back to me in 5-10 minutes...... wrong again!!!!

I just submitted a claim to the BBB and also have seen where people are saying  this is a scam business and they have no physical location! I am looking for redemption from them and they refuse to call me back!

After more than 2 decades as an Angie's list member this is my first complaint and I certainly feel it is totally justified!

I contacted this company on a Tuesday morning and scheduled a repair person to fix my washer on Wednesday afternoon between 3pm and 5pm. I received a call at 1pm on Wednesday to let me know they were cancelling the appointment and would not reschedule due to the fact they were unable to reach their repair person and this person is the only one they have in our area. The call came from a San Francisco number, so this is not a local company.
