"[Member Name Removed], Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention. First and foremost, I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I thought we had everything cleared up back in October with respect to the balance on the spreadsheet we worked from. We strive and work very hard to ensure our clients receive the highest quality product. I was not aware of the issues you have outlined above. I apologize, but after our reconciliation in October, I did not receive any correspondence from you? Therefore, I am not sure where the disconnect occurred. Obviously you feel I owe you $5000 and I will be happy to pay you this amount contingent on showing me where this error has occurred. I am at a loss at the term "professional robbery". Based upon our conversation back in October, we both agreed we owed each other nothing and we were "all square". Again, please provide the details of where I made the accounting mistake, and I will bring a check to you immediately! Please feel free to reach out to me anytime to discuss."
must have meant that he'd take care of it next year because he still hasn't come as of today. Honestly, we don't want him
or his crew back on our property. We will never use him or his crew ever again.
"I did not do work for this person. My account has been hacked or this review was sent to the wrong person."
"I will address one point at a time: 1) Well he phoned prior to the visit to let me know one of the other painters would be coming by. I have a field representative that lives close to her house and that is the main reason he came by (on time) for the estimate. 2) I didn't realize until the day the work was to begin that Chris was a contractor for Fine Lines and others would be doing painting, flooring, drywall and tiling. I feel that things were misrepresented initially. He did not come out & say, I'm a contractor. I am the owner of Fine Lines Painting and coordinate with high quality individuals to use their expertise. I did not misrepresent “initially” (not quite sure what this means??) Not quite sure what her problem is with “contractor”. If [member name removed] would have asked me who would be doing the work, I would have told her. 3) Dates and times were changed on a weekly basis by Fine Lines. I told Chris initially that my schedule was limited due to working outside my home. The constant changing of dates & times was very annoying and time consuming. The only time changes were done because [member name removed] delayed my drywall guy because she thought there was another leak. This put us back 3 days including the painting of the ceiling. We were there every day, on time and even worked when her dogs were in the house alone, which she was not sure of. [member name removed] almost did not want me there because of the dogs, but I assured her all would be well and it was. If the schedule was “annoying”, I think [member name removed] needs to revisit the reasons for any time changes. I am extremely sensitive to the customer’s time. I ask every day what time we can start and what time we need to be done every day. 4) The tile was done by a man that didn't show up for 2 days that he was scheduled to work. Both times I was told he was Ill. The third day he asked to show up on a weekend day n would be there only a fee hours. Not so & he admitted to personally attending other activities while he was to be tiling my toilet closet. I was extremely upset especially since it was my day with my family that I gave up for someone with a lack of a work ethic. We were lied to by the contractor or his employee. Things weren't going well. I found about this issue on our final day via a text message. If [member name removed] would have informed me the day of discovery, I am certain we could have figured something out. I have spoken with my tile guy and told him this was completely unacceptable and I will not tolerate this in the future. 5) The ceiling was drywalled by Rick who did a great job. The final paint touches were in the kitchen on the ceiling. There are still streaks where the painting wasn't done correctly which we are taking care of ourselves. I wouldn't hire them again nor would I recommend them to anyone. Again, this is the first I was informed about streaks on the ceiling. I was never given an opportunity to go back and hit any spots on the ceiling that were missed which is typical of painting with white paint on white ceilings. In conclusion, [member name removed] had no complaints with respect to a quality job other than a “D” rating. She gave me a “C” for price. Does this mean that someone got an “A” for price? Who was that and why did she not hire the “A” price? A “C” for punctuality? Again, my time management skills are stellar. We are always on time and do not leave the project “hanging”. And a “C” for professionalism, please elaborate. Overall I think the pattern that [member name removed] has provided in her review indicates she did not communicate with me very well. From the “contractor” hangup, to the time changes caused by her which I accommodated, to the tile guy which I learned about on the last day via a text, to a few missed spots on the ceiling that I was never given an opportunity to easily remedy."
They got the entire exterior done in two days, 270 ft around, no spills or overspray, great touch around the windows. Very neat and thoroughly professional. Response time was very good, they get right to work on time each day.
Now they have stripped some wallpaper, including one incredibly difficult room, patched up a few nail holes, and are ready to paint the inside.
They are great guys, I was referred to them so I did not get other quotes this time, but pricing was as good as anything I had seen here or on Groupon ads, etc. I could not be more pleased.
I was in need of a full exterior paint job including rotten boards that needed replacing. I talked with several contractors, received several bids, and ultimately decided to use Fine Lines Painting.
Jeff with Fine Lines came out and thoroughly looked at what I wanted done. Fortunately he was able to point out other areas that would be trouble in the future. I was very impressed with his level of professionalism and comfort of knowing he was looking out for my best interest and not just another painter that would potentially cut corners and hurry through my project.
I received a quote from Fine Lines the next day. The quote was very detailed and all items were broken out so I could choose to eliminate if I needed to.
The project was scheduled and the Fine Lines crew was on time as planned. They started with a thorough chemical clean and light power-wash. Two days later they came back and started the painting process. They used the most expensive Porter Permanizer paint for my home. Fine Lines informed me up front that they prefer to use this product because of it’s ability to ensure that the job will last longer than a less expensive one. I did my own research and I know they were being truthful about that.
The paint process took 3 full days to complete which is exactly what I was quoted. Jeff with Fine Lines and I walked around our house after completion and pointed out all of the things that we had originally discussed to re-ensure they completed what I expected.
Ultimately I am extremely pleased with my decision to hire Fine Lines Painting. I was skeptical and somewhat fearful in choosing a company to paint the exterior of my home, but Fine Lines not only delivered a solid product, but also made the process stress free.
I would highly recommend Fine Lines to anyone needing a solid, hi-quality paint job. Chris and his crew did an outstanding job with my project and delivered a stress free result.
