EF Marburger Fine Flooring

Currently in the middle of a mess. Signed and paid $15K deposit in June for a flooring and shower updated. Finally, in the middle of Nov, they did the floors. The installer they hired did a sub par job, with countless visible uneven spots. They’ve stopped responding

First, EF Marburger had a huge selection to choose from and surprisingly were very competitively priced versus big box and other flooring stores. Several consultants offered their opinions on flooring which let us to an educated decision. Flooring arrived early from factory and install was scheduled. Their installer "Hector" was EXCELLENT and did a great job on a pretty straight forward install but he took his time and made accurate cuts which made the floor look amazing. Our overall experience was an A+++.

It went well. We started by looking at samples of carpet types and styles. Once we chose one type, we took color samples home. Measurer brought additional samples so we could confirm color. At my request, the contract was altered to include a provision that Marburger would provide signed lien release (because installers are subcontractors), and they fulfilled this agreement promptly after the job was complete. We enjoy the new carpet and the room has become the family's favorite.

I purchased carpet there 12 years ago and was very satisfied.  I worked with a new young assistant show room manager this year and was satisfied; I placed the order with her.  She sent a man to measure.  When I called back for her, I was told she no longer worked there, and I should talk to the man who measured.  He kept calling me dear and dearie and I am not his dear or dearie.  He said he would call when the goods came in; he didn't.  I called; he would look and call me back.  Yes, he looked and it was in.  We set a date to install, and he said that I would be called as soon as they loaded that morning.  No one did so I called at 9:30 a.m.  I was told the installers were on another job.  They arrived at 10:30 a.m. and were here until 9:20 p.m.  They didn't get the striped pattern straight in part of the room, but I watched, they tried, and it was a hard job.

We went in for a consultation and spoke with our project manager, Sam, and told him what we wanted to do. I then went to the show room and picked out some samples of carpet that I liked for the project. They have many types and grades of carpet to choose from, even some of the more obscure textured/patterned carpet that I was looking for. I would say they have the best selection out of all the flooring places we had been to in the Carmel/Fishers/North Side area. Sam came out and measured the space and I chose the carpet that I wanted. It took about 6 weeks for the carpet to arrive, since it was a special order. They had a father/son team of installers come out to install the carpet, who were excellent. Overall, I couldn't be happier with the results. They were very professional and helpful.

Beautiful store and I was excited for my laundry room flooring (vinyl) to be installed quickly as promised. On the day of installation, the installers were supposedly lost and couldn't find my home, but then 2 hours later (I had to call the store and ask where they were, they did not call me to tell me they would be late), supposedly the car had broken down and they were going to send another installer out. I canceled and rescheduled for another day. They installer came out on the second day and the flooring ended up being the WRONG SIZE! At this point I asked for a full refund or for them to reorder and install it for free. The VP said they could only refund me and couldn't do the job for free. So much for trying to please the customer!

We worked with a salesman from EF Marburger, who lost our information twice before he ever got us to Pass Go,  so we called a few other tile companies.  They came out, said they were very interested in doing our job, and then we never heard from them again.  We went back to Marburger and asked for Jennifer Hess.  She got right on it, measuring, ordering tile, and getting an installer set aside for us. She kept in touch with us, and gave us information about the installer in case we needed to contact him directly.  The installer, Justin, was excellent.  His helper was very good too, cutting tile and helping in other ways.  The tile laying was completed in one day, and the second day a different crew finished it with grout.  All of the young men were very polite and diligent workers.  We are very pleased with the results.  Jennifer called to see if we were happy with the job when it was completed.

They are very customer focused and know what they are doing regarding hardwood flooring.

Debra was very helpful.  She listened to our ideas and then helped us find the tiles that would work best.
We will definitely use her/ EFMarburger again.

I was apprehensive about hiring someone to install VCT in my kitchen because it's not mentioned in Angie's List reviews.  Residential use is not common and I worried about hiring someone inexperienced at working with it.

I took the plunge and called E.F. Marburger.  I was not disappointed.  The two installers were good to work with.  They were careful about moving the refrigerator and the very heavy old stove. The checkerboard floor with double borders was my own design and we discussed the placement of the checks because the kitchen has an offset to it.  They also consulted about the border.  I requested they miter the corners of the smaller border and they were happy to oblige.

Bonus:  with the table and chairs gone, one of the installers accidently hit the chandelier while sweeping and broke a flame-shaped light bulb.  He apologized and after they went out for lunch he returned with a new bulb!

I'm very happy with my new floor.  I applied an acrylic finish to it after waiting the required number of days.  It looks like 1940s linoleum--just right!

Great experience!  The schedule was met and the quality of carpet was outstanding. The installation went smoothly and installer locked the doors on his way out since we were not home.

Pricing was accurately quoted.  (Monte Brown is now at Marburger.  He previously owned Brown's flooring.  He is a Pro.)
Installers were on time and very careful moving, dis assembling and reassembling furniture as needed.
Completed the job in one day and left everything clean and in its place.
We used Marburger Flooring for a complete hardwood installation on our main living area in 2007 and will use them again.  They are very careful about the installation teams used.

It was a surprisingly pleasant experience!  The sales associate was Monte Brown and he explained exactly what to expect ahead of time.  The installation crew were very professional and the job went seamlessly.  Monte also helped to guide me through the selection of materials and patiently answered my many questions regarding the pro and con of the many different selections.  He also took the time to explain how to maintain the flooring after installation so that it will look beautiful for years to come.  I couldn't be happier with the results!

We worked with Sam Habibi.  Sam worked well with us on providing a suitable estimate for our project.  He was there during installation and to inspect the finished product.  It was conducted by professionals and in a most timely manner.  We highly recommend this agency for similar work.

I had a wonderful experience. I worked with a fellow by the name of Monty and ultimately he had to have back surgery and the girl that took over for him was Jane Lowe. And I picked out all my flooring and tile and counter-top from them and they recommended the person to do it - who was Dave Lowe of Lowe Professional Remodeling and they did a superb job. It turned out better than I had expected.

My experience with them was very good. They are very good. I liked their personality, their quality of service and their professionalism.

We chose to go with them because we thought the selection that we had seen at the other stores weren’t very great.  Actually the service provider that we found through Angie’s List that did the tile work recommended them.  The store is beautiful and they have an unbelievable selection.  The customer service was very good; in particular they have a very broad range of tile prices and they didn’t try to sell us the most expensive tile out there.  They just tried to sell us the tile that would be the most useful and appropriate for our project.  So we were able to find what we wanted.

Karla Shone was the design specialist who helped me. She was very patient and helpful since I am pretty clueless about decor and this was a big job. She came to my house to look at tile and grout and advised me on color, gently suggesting a slightly darker finish than I had picked out ( and I am so glad I listened to her! ). I also talked with two more companies from Angies List but in the end decided to go with Marburger, even thought they were slightly more expensive, since they used the same crew to do everything, from tear out, to sub-floor and laying of the tile etc. and I didn't like the idea of different crews coming in to do different things. I had been worried about the tear out since we have a lot of base trim but Karla bought her installer ( Scott ) to come and talk to me and evaluate. At that point I had not signed a contract.
Scott and his crew ( Tommy and Tony ) were very professional and hardworking. They made minimum mess and were very easy and nice to be around. They worked all week and Scott worked all through Saturday to try to finish up and also replaced other trim in the area that had been nothing to do with the job.  
The floor looks great and our experience with Marburger was a very good one.

When my husband and I decided that, we wanted to remodel our master bedroom, bathroom, and a closet, which is a pretty good-sized area.  We went to their store and they had beautiful flooring and all kinds of things.  We started looking with an older gentleman called Monty; he had to have back surgery so he turned us over to Jane Lowe who also works there.  She and her husband owned Lowe Professional Remodeling.  Jane was the one that helped me get it going and her husband Dave did the remodeling.  It turned out above and beyond my expectations and I had high expectations.  Our flooring, our carpeting, and the tiles came from EF Marburger Fine Flooring and I recommend them highly.  They have beautiful products and unlimited variety of carpets and tiles.  The whole remodeling job came up to $30,000 and that was labor, materials, cabinets, and carpeting and we bought between $5000 and $8000 worth of products from Marburger.  Lowe Professional Remodeling started the project on May 29 and didn’t conclude until July 3, and it was done to perfection.  It blew my mind away.  I had the concept in my mind for nine years and it turned out above and beyond what I expected.  Jane helped me get the flooring and the carpeting and the tiles.  I had picked out some with Monty but it came to the point where some of them were no longer being manufactured.  So when Jane took over, she read all the notes and just picked it up from there as if it was nothing.  She picked out all products for me that was exactly what I wanted.  She just read my mind by looking at what I had already picked out and she knew how I wanted it to be.  She knows her job and she has been doing it for years.  What impressed me about the store itself was the selection of carpets and tiles or just anything for a remodel in the way of solid surfaces.  I had Cambria solid surface countertops, which turned out beautiful.  It was expensive but I was doing it only one time and I wanted it the way I wanted.  Their selection is outstanding and working with Jane Lowe was easy as putting on a hat.  She just gives it all, she knows, she understands and listens.  If someone is confused, or they are not real sure, she can guide them through, which makes it easy for one to make a decision.  Dave and Tom that worked with her were immaculate.  Everything in the store was kept neat and tidy.  They made sure that there was never a mess or dust, just clean and immaculate.  They went above and beyond.  If something didn’t match up, they got to the point where it matched perfectly.
