Mike has done work for us before and we didn't hesitate to contact him again. He is prompt, efficient and a fun guy to be around. He works hard and gives excellent effort all the time. We had a basement flood so new walls and painting were in order. He provided us with a reasonable quote and a timeline for services. He has great communication skills and uses technology to schedule and communicate. The job was completed on time and to our satisfaction. The fact that he lives in my community is a bonus!

Mike did three uniquely difficult projects in our home (tape peeling from vaulted ceiling with crow’s-foot; water spots on garage ceiling with crows-foot; hanging and finishing sheet in basement adjacent to ceiling and corner). Each of these projects had its own challenges, but Mike really went above and beyond and did a phenomenal job. If you are like me and have concerns about leaving contractors in your home unsupervised, you will have no concerns with Cornerstone – Mike is like your next door neighbor. We loved Mike’s meticulous work, professionalism, and cleanliness, and we couldn’t be happier with the service! We intend to use Cornerstone again in the near future when it is time to paint the exterior!

Mike was very prompt and on time. His pricing was wonderful. He did awesome work!! Our kitchen looks great!!! He was very knowledgeable on what to do with difficult areas of our remodel. He even showed my husband some new tricks of the trade! We will definitely hire him again!

Cornerstone was able to quickly do the job needed. Had them come out and paint an extra room that wasn't originally planned and Mike was able to get one of his guys in on short notice. I'd definitely recommend Cornerstone Painting for painting and drywall work.

Mike painted the cabinet doors in our kitchen, not only did he do a fabulous job he was incredibly easy to work with. He was very responsive to any questions we had and showed up when he said he would. The service we were provided was above and beyond what we expected especially for a small job. We will definitely be using Cornerstone for our future projects.

We bought the paint. It was beige color. Overall, it was excellent. We were happy. We kept adding and adding. We saw they were good. I certainly would use them again in the future. But we got nothing for them to do, maybe the garage if I can get that squared away.

Everything went very well. He came and assessed the hole and walked me through what he would do to fix it. When he returned to complete the job, he arrived on time, completed everything he said he would do, cleaned everything up and finished on time. He was very pleasant and professional.

Start date was delayed, phone calls not returned and very amateur job that needed lots of touch up and it looked like they just layered the paint on as fast as possible. Drips on the door panels and had to have them return to fix. Crew consisted of one person that was experienced, but he was pulled off for another job and replaced with one that was new to painting and had to be taught on site. We didn't let them finish the entire job and hired Joe G Painting instead and paid more, but were very happy with Joe G. .

I was not sure of the colors for the walls and he helped me choose the colors. These colors turns out to be so fitting for these rooms. They were neat workers and very considerate about giving me safe paths to walk around.

I called Cornerstone Drywall and Painting for an estimate to repair drywall in the ceiling of an bathroom that had been damaged to a leak around a vent pipe. Mike Byers, the owner, came and gave us an estimate to repair the drywall and paint the ceiling. He told us he would need to cut out the damaged drywall and replace it with new drywall and then after the drywall compound dried he would need to come back and apply the popcorn texture. He told us that since the original popcorn was sprayed on he would not be able to match it exactly. I told him that I also wanted the entire ceiling painted which meant that he would have to come back after the popcorn application dried.
Mike gave us a good price and and said he had time to replace the drywall while he was here. I told him to go ahead. Mike repaired the drywall and came back two days later to apply the popcorn. He came back about a week later and painted the ceiling. Overall the workmanship was excellent. The popcorn texture matched much better than I expected and it is difficult to see where the repair has been made. In addition to the popcorn texture, the damage was adjacent to a wallpapered wall. Mike was able to make the repair without damaging the wallpaper.

We have had Cornerstone work on several projects over the past 3 years, both painting and drywall. Most recently, Mike did an extensive painting re-do on our 2 story entryway. Complete paint/trim job and he also sanded down all of our railings, banisters and spindles and turned them into a beautiful combination of dark stained wood on top, white on the bottom. We gave him access to the house while we were on vacation for the week and had no hesitations about it. It was so great to walk back in from our trip to a completed job with everything cleaned up and put away. It feels like a whole new house!

In the fall of 2013, I redid my entire kitchen - cabinets, lighting, flooring, etc. My contractor, Affordable Companies, used Mike for patching the holes from removing the old cabinets and making the lighting changes. At the time, I intended to repaint the walls myself, but realized there was more work to it than I had anticipated. Because I was impressed with Mike's work ethic and professionalism, I decided to have him do the paint job. He gave me a quote in November, and kept the same price even though I didn't have the work done until April, 2014. It only took him a day and a half to complete the work. He was very neat and was very careful not to scuff or scrape my new wood floors. The new paint job looks great and I would definitely hire him again.

The project went very well because of Mike Byer's professionalism. I must say, Cornerstone is the best contractor we've had in a very long time! We started the process by contacting 7 drywall contractors. Four responded. We arranged to meet each of the 4 for an estimate. We knew exactly what we needed done. Of course, we had a budget to adhere to and were on a tight schedule to complete. So each contractor that came over, we asked for the same estimate; install drywall to the exposed walls, fix the drywall tape on the existing walls and ceiling, prime and paint all the drywall-existing and new. We also needed to know the date they could start and how long it would take to complete as we had other projects hinging on the drywall project. Ultimately, we choose Cornerstone because of Mike?s professionalism. He showed up on time for the estimate appointment. He took notes and understood exactly what we wanted. He was able to give us a start and end date. His estimate was in writing including all the details we discussed, his price was fair AND he acted like he wanted the job! On the day the job was to start Mike showed up on time ready to work. He or his crew showed up every day on time. Yes, there were a couple unexpected minor issues that Mike handled immediately that didn?t effect or delay the job. They worked diligently though out the days to complete the project. They were respectful to us and of our home. They did a GREAT job and completed on time!

They did such a fabulous job. The rooms look so wonderful. Mike and crew arrived on time each day and even finished earlier than estimated. The workmanship was high-quality.
What makes this job even more impressive is that when they started trimming with the first color. I chose it based on a recommendation and was confident it was the color I wanted. As they applied more of the trim, I soon realized it was much darker than expected and that I could not live with it. They stopped painting and Mike worked with me to switch colors. They purchased a couple of samples, put them up on the wall and I knew immediately which one was right. Switching colors was the absolute correct thing to do. The softer color is so calming and the darker color accents perfectly. Mike was supportive and reassuring as we made this mid-stream switch. His two painters, Zachary and Mark, were equally supportive.
My home feels transformed, cleaner and more peaceful after they painted these rooms.

I can't say enough how happy we are that we went with Mike at Cornerstone. Excellent communication and quality. Yes, painting is expensive anywhere....but Mike kept our unique situation in mind and LISTENED to what we wanted. He even offered suggestions on how to keep the costs low, but to make the job look very nice. Prompt and polite. He took the time to explain things (whether in email or phone call or in person). He was fantastic and we will use him again.
