I have had to call them every month and argue the bills. They pulled a bait and switch and would not allow me to go back to my original plan even though they said I could. All I would like is to get out of the contract and they will not allow this unless I pay $10 a month for the life of the contract.
Description of Work: I started with Comcast around the end of April. I bought the package with internet and cable for $99 with 2 year contract. In June, I decided to and phone to my package and do the Triple Play. I asked if I could get the Triple play and they said no, but they could just add my phone for an extra $20. I was fine with that, but asked if I didn't like it could I go back to my original plan.

He was also supposed to upgrade a second TV and install internet in the home office. He was unable to install the recorder box and the internet where needed because two of the cable outlets seemed to not function properly and need repair. He said he would notify a supervisor and send a specialist to do the repairs that had the right equipment. That was the last I heard from anybody locally. By June 10 I called their 800 number, and they promised they would get in touch. By that Friday, I hadn't heard anything and called again. They connected me with a dispatcher and said they would send someone out soon. I got a hold of them on the 13th, and the service representative said he would put in a notice for an escalation to prioritize the issue. on Monday morning a person from the Michigan center calls me, takes my info, and says that he'll send an email to the local technicians. I still have not heard anything from Comcast since that morning. Meanwhile I'm still without the services that I have ordered. The initial installer did manage to get my modem working, but it's not in the place where it shouldn't be. it just all boils down to fixing two outlets, and they won't get a technician to come out and take of it.
Description of Work: I ordered internet service for the first time through them. They said they would also send someone to update my TV equipment at no charge. On June 8 a technician comes out and brings a new digital recorder box which works fine.

I am very unhappy with the services of Comcast. I have had nothing but trouble with TV/Cable going down. The price was originally suppose to be $89.00 but the price keeps increasing. Customer Service is very poor.

The knowledge of their technicians is varies from bad to excellent. They respond to problems in a reasonable amount of time. but that does not mean it will be fixed on the first visit. This is issue number one. My biggest problem with them is when a technician installs a new cable outside the house. The cable will lay on the ground for months every time. The cable now has been laying across my yard since July 15, 2014. About Sept 15, 2014 I called to get it buried. The idiot sent a technician. This is not how Comcast buries cable. They have a subcontractor come to do that work; not their employees. I called again on Sept 22, 2014 and was told I would be put on an expedited list to get it done quickly. I an still waiting. Comcast is very disorganized. They simply need to call the sub contractor and the work gets done. As you look around neighborhoods there is a lot of Comcast cable laying in yards. It seems to me one employee could do this for a very large geographical area. As one of their sub contractors told me: "For a communication company they cannot communicate."
Description of Work: Comcast is the Noblesville provider for access to the internet and TV. I have a problem at least annually. This last time, July 15, 2014, they replaced the cable to my house again; about 3 times in 5 years. However this was not the problem. I was still having problems so a second technician came about 2 weeks later and fixed the problem. It was the cable on their modem.

They would only provide the payment extension if I gave them my bank account information so they could set up an ACH withdrawal. I'm unwilling to give them that private information. Shut off my service if I don't live up to the arrangement, but don't ask for my banking information. I only use them because I don't have a choice in my area.

I setup an appointment with Comcast to install a phone jack. Comcast dis not show up in the 8-10 window they gave me and then said I had no appointment. When I requested they fit me in they said it would not be possible and the earliest they could get me in was another week. I requested that they should honor their 2-hour window service call promise. The customer representatives acted as though no appointment was made and I reqested it be upgraded to a supervisor. finally, the supervisor said to call in after the service appt. to have the fee taken off (he stated if he took the fee off in advance it would cancel the service call from the system). I did as requested and upon calling back in they refused to take off the fee.

Problem solved after five calls over two days. Each Comcast Rep said the problem would be addressed by sending a message to the cable box.Only the Rep on the fifth call was right.
Description of Work: After receiving an error message on our cable screen, it took 5 calls to "Customer Service" to address a problem that better informed representatives could have addressed in 5 minutes. On one occasion the Customer Service Representative asked if he could place me on hold. That action by him sent me back to the 7 choice call screening message. None of the options applied so I held on. The system hung up on me. Since they had my phone number (it was provided by them and I had given it twice on that call already), I was hopeful the same Representative would call me back. However, we were not extended that simple courtesy. It is impossible to connect with the same person twice or by-pass their call screening program, no matter how many prior calls have been placed to address a problem. Nothing was done on call 5 that could not have been done on call one if the Comcast employee who took the call knew what to do. A knowledgable representative solved the problem in minutes on the fifth call. Had the Representatives I was routed to on the 4 prior calls been better trained, Comcast and our home would both have benefited.

There "Customer Service" was horrible. And I kept getting e-mails from them waiting me to comfirm an appointment for an install that I never ordered for a couple of weeks.
Description of Work: I called Comcast for information regarding their Internet Service. After I recieved all the information I needed. I thanked their rep for her time and hung up. Their Rep called in back about 2 min. later trying to change me $10.00 for her service. I couldn't believe it. I about died with laughter. Then I was told she could waive the fee for me just this once. I told her great and hung up again. I am not going to pay anyone who could not anwer my questions.

We have a plan that covers if they would need to send someone out to set up anything. They sent a technician out right away. He did a great job taking care of the problem. He was willing to show me how to navigate through the system.

The tech was in our house for 7 hours (2:00 - 9:00 pm) setting up our cable and internet on January 28, 2013 which was frustrating that it took this long. After he left, we discovered that his foot went through our ceiling when he was in our attic. He did not notify us that he did this. We immediately called customer service and have called 4 more times over the last month trying to get someone to look at the damage. We have gotten an estimate of the repair ($600). I have asked to speak to a manager and the customer rep says that there are no managers available. I still have not heard from anyone.

I pay them too much. I have a bundle deal that I am not very impressed with. They are the only cable provider in the area. I would recommend them only if I absolutely have to. They haven’t done anything above and beyond. They haven’t even met the bare minimum.

It was horrible and I never had connection or anything like that. They are the only provider in the area. They said I owed them 60 bucks. After it went to collection they said sorry and we did not owe it. There were not very professional. Every two months they changed the price. Other than that I did not have any problems with anybody.

We have been a customer for over 10 years. Last month a promotional period ended for our cable/internet service and they raised our bill from around $99 to $140.00. I called to discuss the increase told them I would cancel my service if the price could not be adjusted. They offered me a new deal and said they would add HBO for a $99 plus tax/fees. We received our new bill in August and the rate had not been adjusted, in fact it went up. I called again and the customer service person said there was no record of the rate adjustment. She was able to get me the same deal I had been offered before. Today I called in to switch my service to a new home and the customer service person told me that the computer did not show the $99 and even stated they are now charging us $10 extra for HBO (which we would never have agreed to pay for). I believe they should give us two months credit to the price they promised. Update: 9/12/11 Comcast finally agreed to credit our account in the amount of $80.

My phone and internet have been randomly going on and off for weeks even though I have never missed a bill or paid late. I have called them several times, and they tell me they are going to fix it but they never do. One time it was out for 5 days and just before the technician came out it went back on so he acted like there wasn?t a problem. Of course, it went out again a few minutes later and was out for another 3-4 days. They told me at that point that they would come the following Saturday and never showed up. They said they sent a tech but I was there during the whole allotted time we had set up and nobody came. I told them to cancel my phone and internet because of this. Now whenever I try to open my internet browser there is some sort of spam that pops up constantly. I am absolutely sick of dealing with this company; they obviously don?t care about customer satisfaction at all.

They worst company I have ever dealt with and this is the second year that they have been performing so poorly. I cannot reach to anyone of importance to figure out the problem. No one on the telephone is able to resolve any problems or to set up any appointment correctly. I have been out of service for a week and still cannot get the system fixed. This is my internet and my telephone. They apologize and say that they are sorry but I just want them to fix the problem and still they have not fixed the problem.

In October 2010 I researched statellite compaines and Comcasxt for the bet prices on TV and internet. I settled on Comcast. Comcast stated that I would recieve Tv for $19.99 a month and internet for $19.99 a month for a total fo $39.98 + tax for a one year contract. This is what I agree on. When I recieved the first bill it listed the cable as $10.00, internet service as $24.99 and modem rental as $5.00 for a total of $39.99. I called and explained to them that I was told the agreement was for $19.99 for cable and $19.99 for internet. I was told that that was just the way they had to bill the account and since it was just a penny difference I dropped the matter. I recied April's bill in the mainl and it has an increase from $39.99 to $41.99 due to an increase in mondem rental. The one year contract that I agreed on was for $39.98 a month NOT $41.99 a month. I called customer service and all the rude women would say was that the contract was from services not the mondem rental. I believe they should honor the original agreement.

Overall, the whole upgrade to digital HD has been a nightmare. It took several service calls to get it going. We even had to make a trip to the Comcast store to pick up digital boxes as the first service man had the wrong boxes and didn't have the DVR we ordered. It took many lengthy calls to get our service and problems corrected. It seems there is a lack of communication within the company - no one knows who does what.
Description of Work: We have waited at least six weeks (probably longer) to have the orange cable buried which Comcast replaced while upgrading our service. An appointment was finally made for the day of 7/23/2010. When I called Comcast in the morning of 7/23 I was told we were on the list to have the cable buried for that day; however, we received no call from Comcast, and the cable was not buried. The cable runs across my front yard and my neighbor's yard. When it was replaced, I was told that it would be buried in the next two weeks. We were told we were on the schedule, but another call revealed no service call was scheduled to bury cable. I complained we needed to be on the schedule, and an appointment was made for 7/23/10. Our cable was not buried and no one called to inform us they would not be here as scheduled. Today, when I called the Comcast (800 number) and complained the cable has not been buried and that I think we should receive the $20 credit they advertise for not showing up for an appointment, I was told by Steve after he checkedwith others that this type of appointment would not qualify for the credit. No one at Comcast can tell me when or if my cable will ever be buried.
