I hired Allen Contractors in October 2019 to replace my 25+year old roof that had suffered damage during one of the high wind storms in the spring of 2019. Brian, the president, CEO of the company came out personally to evaluate the roof and walk me through the details of the project. With ease and confidence he worked with my insurance adjuster to address building code concerns and additional material costs that had not been addressed on the initial insurance appraisal. My insurance company agreed with Brian's assessment and provided additional funds to cover the cost of the items that were overlooked on the adjuster's initial proposal. Brian is very knowledgeable about the business, well organized, responds promptly to calls and concerns, easy to work with, and is very thorough in his evaluation of a project. The crew Allen Contractors had working on my roof project were wonderful. They were considerate, hard working, and efficient. The roof looks fabulous and I couldn't be more pleased on how well the details of the project were handled. Big thanks to Brian and his crew for a job well done!!

The roof was at the end of its lifespan. It was original to the house and you could tell shortcuts were made in materials and its installation. Add to that the fact it is not a simple roof which meant due to the combination of complex angles, varying pitches, and multiple strange intersection points, the roof had a history of small leaks over the years. With winter approaching rapidly and tired of the whack-a-mole approach to finding and fixing leaks when they occurred I decided it was time to replace the original roof and have it done right. Brian, of Allen Contracting, was very responsive and hands on the entire process. While Allen Contracting was near the top of the quotes I received, after interactions with multiple roofing companies, I came away feeling the most confident in moving forward with them. Brian answered multiple emails from me over the course of several weeks prior to the final decision being made as I went through a fairly exhaustive apple to apple comparison of services offered, materials, warranties, etc. between Allen Contracting and several other companies. Brian was always quick to respond and willing to work with me. Once the job began, Brian was onsite the majority of the time with his crew, who were quite efficient and did a great job, btw. I would absolutely recommend Allen Contracting to others in need of a new roof.

I needed a old satellite dish removed from the roof of a rental property and the underlying shingles repaired. Not only was the work done with a high level of quality, they took extra care to match the existing shingles. Great communication throughout the job. I would use them again in the future. They treated this small job with the same professionalism as a larger job.

Needed an emergency temporary roof repair to the unfinished garage. This provider called promptly and showed up as promised, within a quick timeframe of my request, Provided several reasonable options for repair vs replacement and placed the temporary tarps I requested same day and affordably.

My gutters were installed quickly and expertly. They look great. I got four estimates and Allen Contracting gave the fairest. I'm very satisfied.

My new roof looks great. I was amazed that they finished the project in one day which consist of the removing two layers of the old shingles, replacing damage plywood, completing the new roof and cleanup. Communication was constant and assured the job was done right. I am very happy with their service.

Allen contracting handled our entire insurance claim and did a great job.

We recently had some work done by Allen Contracting, Inc. We had a small leak in the ceiling in one of our rooms, and we suspected it was a flashing problem, but we had another company come out to check the roof. They informed us that our roof had severe hail damage and we would have to go through our insurance and get the entire roof replaced. This seemed off. So I did some research and came across Allen Contracting, Inc. I saw on their site that Brian, the company's president and I'm assuming lead contractor, used to be an insurance adjuster, and so he knows how they evaluate roofs to determine insurance eligibility. We also felt like the other company had lied to us, because they were being extremely shady and insisting that we call this one specific insurance person, who they would then work directly with. Just everything about that other company seemed off. So we called ACI and they seemed very straightforward and honest. They told us what I had already assumed, that the issue was with flashing, not with hail damage, and that we did not, in fact, need a complete roof replacement. Brian came out and we filled out some paperwork involving financing the project, and a couple weeks later, the work was done. It was done to satisfaction. It seems like it's going to be sturdy and we shouldn't have this problem again in the future. The only reason I gave 4.5 stars overall and 4.0 on the customer service section is because it was often hard to get in touch with Brian, and it took multiple days for him to respond to emails. It's not such a big deal, I understand that it's a busy thing to run a small business, but I am very impatient and I hate waiting days for a reply. Overall, we would definitely work with them again, and were pleased with the work that was done.
