About us
I have been servicing pianos since 1982 in central Indiana. I worked for the Baldwin Piano Company for 9 years and have been a sub-contractor for Meridian Music since 1999. I currently tune about 1000 pianos every year and have tuned at most of the major concert venues in Indianapolis and surrounding areas as well as Performing Arts Centers, Universities, Schools and Churches.

Our piano had not been tuned in a number of years. Doug quickly brought things back into tune. Doug was also very personable.

Doug is professional, extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares about you and your instrument. He is willing to give his expert opinion if you're considering purchasing a piano. I can't believe how nice our piano sounds after he completes his work. If you need a piano tuning and/or repair Doug will take care of you!

Doug was very professional and courteous. I am just getting ready to start piano lessons, so I was not very knowledgeable about them. As he worked, he educated me about pianos and showed me how my old piano was performing. He gave me useful tips which I appreciated. I highly recommend him.

I received a phone call from Mr. Dale to let me know he was caught in slow traffic and would be a little late - very courteous. He explained the application he used to tune my piano and answered all my questions. He also told me about voicing of my piano and how he could adjust that the next time he tuned at no extra cost. I was well-informed and I felt that he did an excellent job. I highly recommend him!

Doug spent extra time to determine the type of sound I preferred on completion, as well as explained the ins and outs of piano tuning. He adjusted the hammers to provide improved tone when he finished. Doug is very thorough and has a superb ear for the overtones produced by piano strings. He was able to accommodate my tight schedule! I highly recommend Doug!

I’ve been using him for a couple of years. He’s super prompt, friendly, calls to confirm the appointment in advance, and doesn’t charge a trip charge. I appreciate his knowledge and professionalism. He’s a technician as well as a tuner and he knows what he’s doing. It normally takes around an hour for him to do the work. Considering his pedigree as a piano tuner and the other clients that he works for, I feel very lucky to have him, especially at his rates. I also like that he will schedule the appointment six months in advance, although he doesn’t require that.

I am new to the piano and tuning, but I see why Doug is rated so highly on Angie's List. He was able to work me into his schedule and came to tune my piano. He told me about the piano manufacturer, the tuning process, and seasonal variances. He also fixed a few keys that were sticking. Doug is a wealth of knowledge and is great to talk to. He was professional and his prices are very reasonable (especially the first time customer discount). I will definitely be scheduling another tuning with Doug next winter.
