Doug was very professional and courteous. I am just getting ready to start piano lessons, so I was not very knowledgeable about them. As he worked, he educated me about pianos and showed me how my old piano was performing. He gave me useful tips which I appreciated. I highly recommend him.

Doug spent extra time to determine the type of sound I preferred on completion, as well as explained the ins and outs of piano tuning. He adjusted the hammers to provide improved tone when he finished. Doug is very thorough and has a superb ear for the overtones produced by piano strings. He was able to accommodate my tight schedule! I highly recommend Doug!

I received a phone call from Mr. Dale to let me know he was caught in slow traffic and would be a little late - very courteous. He explained the application he used to tune my piano and answered all my questions. He also told me about voicing of my piano and how he could adjust that the next time he tuned at no extra cost. I’ve been using him for a couple of years. He’s super prompt, friendly, calls to confirm the appointment in advance, and doesn’t charge a trip charge. I appreciate his knowledge and professionalism. He’s a technician as well as a tuner and he knows what he’s doing. It normally takes around an hour for him to do the work. Considering his pedigree as a piano tuner and the other clients that he works for, I feel very lucky to have him, especially at his rates. I also like that he will schedule the appointment six months in advance, although he doesn’t require that.

I am new to the piano and tuning, but I see why Doug is rated so highly on Angie's List. He was able to work me into his schedule and came to tune my piano. He told me about the piano manufacturer, the tuning process, and seasonal variances. He also fixed a few keys that were sticking. Doug is a wealth of knowledge and is great to talk to. He was professional and his prices are very reasonable (especially the first time customer discount). I will definitely be scheduling another tuning with Doug next winter.

Doug is always punctual and professional. He is not only a fabulous tuner, but he also has performed several piano repairs in my home at very reasonable prices. I will always use him to service my piano.

Doug called back the same day I left him a message. We recently acquired a very old Janssen piano, which was tuned who knows when. He came promplty on time and tested the piano. Informed me that it was likely tuned >15years ago and that tuning it all the way may cause the strings to break. Fortunately they didn't. But he showed me how almost immediately the strings were getting slack after tighteneing as they have been used to stay that way for so many years. It definitely sounds way better. Next tuning recommended is in 2weeks-2months. And then, maybe, every 6months. I got the new customer discount ($20off). Regular tunings are $100, which is more than another big company I called. But they were non-responsive. Doug also gave me names of good teachers for my 6yr old.

Mr. Dale arrived right on time and was finished tuning my piano and fixing a squeaky pedal within 45 minutes. He was friendly and courteous. His prices were the best that I could find after calling around. He didn't seem like he was trying to get every dollar he could -- he honestly seemed like he just wanted me to have a great piano! I will definitely use his services again in the future.

I didn't use their service because I called to ask some questions, and he was amazing. He was on the phone with me for like 35 minutes, and he answered all my questions without even having to come out. I called to have him come out, and he answered a bunch of questions, and so he didn't need to come out. It is nice to have companies help you out without charging a fee. I appreciated the fact that he took the time out of his day to just talk on the phone, and answer questions, because a lot of people would not spend 30 minutes on the phone with somebody. His pricing was better than the other companies that I had called. He answered the phone, and other I had to have someone call me back from the other companies. If we need his service, I will definitely be calling him.

Mr. Dale came at the scheduled time. He was pleasant and professional. The piano was last tuned about two years. He made it sound much better. I am pleased with the results. I used the Angie List coupon for new customer discount.

EXCELLENT JOB!!!! Doug came out and tuned my piano and found a rattle which i had also noticed and got that fixed as well. He did a great job explaining when and how often a piano should be tuned. Thanks again!!!!!

The professionalism and service was excellent. We were concerned that the piano would need quite a few repairs, but it didn't and it was restored to having the beautiful sound that it had decades before!

Doug has tuned my piano previously. This time, it had gone a long time between tunings. He arrived promptly and tuned the piano, while my daughter was home. He recommended that it be tuned again in 2 months, because it hadn't been tuned in a couple of years and would need adjusting, and then, since my daughter is now in college and won't be around to play it over the winter, it should not need tuning until she returns next spring. The piano sounds fine, and this is advice I can probably follow.

This was our first experience with Doug, and it was great. He came over, did a super job tuning my Kimball (it hadn't been tuned in several years,and it hadn't ever been giving a tuning as good as Doug gave it), and charged only a very modest amount. What a guy!! He'll certainly be my go-to piano tuner in the future. Why would I go to anyone else?! If your piano needs tuning then you have to give Doug a try (whatever kind of piano you have). I found A-440 on Angie's List and requested a quote. His price was very competitive and even though he had lots of jobs lined up (Christmas season tunings for churches, schools, and concert halls), he said it was no problem to tune my piano. We set up a date/time and he arrived spot on. He asked a little about the history of the piano and began working on it. It was so terribly out of tune after many years of neglect but he got it very close to perfect. As is the case with any piano that hasn't been tuned in a long time, he said I should tune it again in a few months for final tweaking. He seemed very professional and definitely has an ear for fine tuning. Although he had an app for tuning, I could see he clearly depended more on his ear.

He came to the house within the allotted times and was there when he said he would be. He did a wonderful job tuning my piano. I would not hesitate to call him again!
