We had a very old (100 yrs) barn with solid hand-hewn beams that was getting more damaged with every Indiana storm. The roof had huge holes in it. Doug Shortridge at Johnson Home Improvements and his crew did an excellent job. It has been on a couple of years now with several storms. We are very happy with Doug's work and have hired him for some smaller jobs since then.

My schedule was crazy but he kept calling me and then came out late one day and checked everything out and tightened it up for winter. Made me feel so much better. Will definitely use this company again!

Doug Shortridge and his crews were professional, polite, performed high quality work, and cleaned up afterwards. Doug was very responsive to my questions and requests, and followed up with me several times throughout the job. I received a good price, and felt very comfortable dealing with Johnson Home Improvements. I would definitely recommend them to friends and neighbors who need roofing work.

Doug Shortridge of Johnson Home Improvements is THE BEST contractor that I have ever hired... period. He did not try to talk us into more expensive options that we did not need, and his prices for quality replacement windows and doors were very competitive. His professionalism, communication, honesty and dedication to quality work were all top notch. From the beginning as a salesperson when he discussed our options, to the middle when he personally oversaw the work of his subcontractors, to the end when he did some finishing work himself...he was great.

They did everything he said he was gonna do. Stopped by about 6 weeks ago to check the roof for hail damage. At the time I was busy and did not have the time to do it. Said he was going to come back. Have not received follow up as of yet.

He does excellent work.  He has done work on our rental properties that no one else could fix.

The managers of the company always responded to my calls, gave me good advice, and were courteous. The crew showed up early, left late, & cleaned up after themselves. The job was done in the time they said they would complete it, with no delays. When I needed one more downspout added they responded to my request within 3 days. The roof and gutters look good and as far as I can tell are done right. I will use this company again for other home improvements.

I signed the contract in Dec. '06. They did not start roofing until March. The shingles sat on my driveway all winter. After the roof was finished, I noticed that many of the foundation boards were broken or hanging. When I noticed this, I called them back out. I insisted that they fix them even though they did not want to. They did my neighbors roof and found the same problem after they looked. They finished the work 3/31/07. Four months later the roof started leaking. They did immediately come out and fix it, but the thing that is most repulsive to me was that he took his gloves after finishing, turned them inside out and threw them into my gutter. He put a bid in on replacing my siding. I did not go with him since I think the work is sloppy, and I think that might have angered him.
