I received a defective refrigerator. I contacted Wayne's within 30 days of receiving the item. They did not help with a replacement or a refund.
I purchased a GE refrigerator from Wayne's. It makes loud noises every time it turns on. I contacted customer service about the possibility of returning or exchanging the item. I was given GE's number. I called GE who sent out a repairman on 12/2/14 who merely looked at the unit, called GE, and reported the issue and left. I then contacted Wayne's back on 12/3/14 and was told the GE rep would be contacted, and I should hear back by 12/5/14. When I had not heard anything by 12/12/14 I contacted Wayne's again. On 12/13/14, the issue was handed over to customer service who was supposed to contact the GE rep. As of 12/24/14 I had not received any help. I contacted the better business bureau who sent 2 separate letters with the complaint asking for correspondence. Wayne's never responded.
If you are looking for appliances, go with a company that stands behind its products. Make sure that if you are an unfortunate one who gets a lemon, you will be able to return it or receive a replacement.
Lowes, Home Depot, and Best Buy have return policies. I wish I would have chosen one of them.
