They were awesome. They told me exactly what to do, and they were very friendly. They were super helpful.

Everything went great. My car was ready when promised. They are very affordable and I trust them not to try to "pad" the repair bill.

Jeff is always great to deal with and very honest. Would not go anywhere else!

They were excellent. They took such good care of my car. But what I was most impressed with was their honesty. I took my car in for brakes. They could have took me to the cleaners and replaced all four but they told me I only needed breaks on the front for now. They also walked me to the car and showed me what needed repair and what didn't and why. From now on I will only take my car to these gentlemen.

I had my car towed to a dealership because we had no brakes. When I received the estimate, I couldn't believe it. They wanted so much money just to replace the brake lines. I called Thrifty and they were awesome. They said they could fix the car and it would be $400.00 less. I jumped on it. I had the car towed again, they fixed the car, and even called me to let me know there was a problem with the cylinder and that it would be $26.00 more than their estimate. They were very professional and fast. The best part is I did it all on the phone 300 miles away. (My son attends college in Evansville)

Took our vehicle right in, got a diagnosis within 30 minutes and time estimate to repair. Work completed on time.

Went to see them, got me in within 10-15 minutes and took an hour to hour 1/2 to repair.
Have taken it there before for other repairs as well, if they couldn't do them would refer me
to someone who could and they worked very well also. Would always recommend them to any
one with as little as an oil change to transmission work, to tires, they can pretty much do anything or
you know who ever they refer you to you can trust as well!

I have used this shop for many years. Jeff is very professional and fair. I never hesitate to recommend him to friends, family or people on the street.

I found Thrifty based on Angie's List reviews, and I have been thrilled with their service my entire time in Evansville. I have felt well taken care of, even as a young woman who might appear easily scammed when it comes to auto repair. At Thrifty, I have always been offered honest options, and when a cheaper alternative or work-around was available instead of getting a full repair, they have told me about it, given me the pros and cons, and patiently explained anything I didn't understand so I could make a fully informed decision. I have never had to wait long for an appointment. Their prices are reasonable, and they don't charge for just checking something for you. I am so sad to be leaving Evansville knowing I will have to start the search for an honest car shop again in my new home. Places like this are rare.

They took care of the problem in a very timely manner. They were inexpensive, but did quality work.

I recently joined Angie's List...
I needed an alignment on my '98 minivan and the brakes were making lots of noise. I also recently bought and mounted 2 new Yokohama tires and knew I would need the other two done very soon. After reading the Angie's list feedback, I was impressed by Menke's and Thrifty's, so I called both for estimates. (To be fair, I knew Menke's had been nationally recognized for their service and facility, but I also knew they tend to be a bit higher in price. When I came across the review for Thrifty, I read that Jeff used to work for Menke's, which gave me immediate peace. Normally, I would have been skeptical based on the name and quot;Thriftyand quot;, but how else can you convey to your customer that you provide great service at a low-reasonable price? ).
Jeff provided quotes for alignment, brakes and tires, but made sure to let me know that it is usually preferred to have the same tire all around for treadwear and rotation and that he could not provide the same brand. His quote on brakes was much lower and his location is much more convenient for me, so I chose to bring it to him.
About 2 hrs after leaving the van, he called me back to let me know the alignment (and tire rotation) was done. Brakes had plenty of wear left, but there was a lot of dust in the rear drums that was probably causing the noise, so they blew it out. One of the mechanics informed Jeff that my door handle was loose (...My model Toyota has been notorious for the plastic handles breaking), so Jeff mentioned to me that another customer of his had bought metal handles on-line for less than 1/2 the price Toyota charges, and, if I wanted, he could install them for me.
I have several other cars and issues to resolve... I will be going back to Thrifty's. Thanks everyone for your feedback that led me to choose Thrifty's.

It's doing great.

We have taken all our vehicles to Jeff for many years, starting with the period he worked for Meineke. We were delighted when he opened Thrifty. When the trucks airconditioning gave out, we called jeff and he said he could take us the following day. We dropped it off and received the call that morning that it had been diagnosed as the compressor. We approved the work and it was completed taht same day. The truck chills great now!
I would like to mention that one time he made minor adjustments to a vehicle for us and didnt even charge us!!he is always professional and courteous and even remembers me, my husband and our daughter by name regardless of who is dropping the vehicle off.

I feel like they are very honest, and they go above and beyond. If there is something wrong, they let me know what it is, but they fix it in a most inexpensive way possible. They don't do anything that is not necessary or charge me more. When I went to drop my car off, my sister and brother-in-law were picking me up to give me a ride and one of the guys working inside came out and told my brother-in-law that he has got a flat tire, and without even saying anything, they went and got the jack and jacked it up. They found the hole and plugged it, and they didn't charge for it. They would be the only one I would use.

Muffler was sounding a little funny. A reputable new car dealer (who sells the make of this vehicle) recommended more than $500 in repairs to the muffler. The car is only 5 years old! We took the car to Menke's in Newburgh (we always have them service vehicles). They were certain that much less was required and referred us to Thrifty Care Care Center and Glass. Thrifty was fully aware that we had an estimate of more than $500. They recommended that they make a spot weld repair at a cost of $40! They showed us the problem before doing the work and the car sounds normal again. The repair was done quickly! My wife walked across the street to get a sandwich and the car was done before she returned.
