Schroeder's Landscaping

Initially we were very pleased with Schroeder's.
John, the owner, came to our home to look at what we had and provided recommendations as to what we could do with the koi pond (which was broken when we purchased the home). He explained everything and answered questions thoroughly.  His crew came out and built an aesthetically pleasing water feature.
I wish our experience with Schroeder's ended there.  In the spring of 2012, we wanted to put the pump back for the season, we had a hard time finding where it went.  This was our fault and resulted in many of the stones being moved.  We tried to put everything in place, but it was apparent that we did not have the touch of the crew from Schroeder's.
That is when the experience turned bad.  I called and left messages for John on several occasions and never heard from him.  One day we decided to go to his business and speak with him.  He was not there and we left a message for him with his son.  Although we never heard from him, we got a call from the office several days later and arranged for them to "fix" the stone placement. 
The person they sent out did not have the skill of his crew.  It looked awful.  I called them back to get them to return.  It was a while before we heard from them.  During this time I learned of another company, contacted them and had them come out to do the job.  The bottom line is we learned that Schroeder's did not build the water feature with sustainability in mind.
It is unfortunate that I have to right this review.  Schroeder's may appear to be a good company on the front end of a job; however, they fail miserably when it comes to follow-up customer service.

I have used this company twice for landscaping services.  They have done an exceptional job for me.  They added more landscaping to one side of my yard.  One side of my yard started washing out on a hillside.  They came out and we discussed options.  We decided to put a dry river rock bed down the side of the hill, it looks perfect.  They also put small river rock around my house next to the foundation.  I was pleased with the price for the services.

Original crew was good to deal with but the work did not hold up. 

They did a phenomenal job and are clean cut and professional; even the workers that are not in charge. They were always polite and always smiling. The workers were on time and kind to my family. They are very hard workers; it was extremely hot but they were great. They cleaned up after themselves every day and I felt very secure having them come and go all day, every day for weeks on end. They really were meticulous and did a great job.
