6 long months, kept trying to add cost.

Daily the workers arrived on time and to keep the project on schedule also worked on Saturdays. Anything request, suggestions or changes were honored and respected. Every day before leaving the work construction area, the area was left clean and neat. Because of the quality of work put into the construction, other contractors have asked to visit and look at the work that went into the building of the deck and sunroom.

The estimator came out on more than one occasion. He was very nice and seemed to know what was going on. I wanted a fairly accurate and detailed description of the renovation plans that included a financial estimate. I never heard back despite my attempts. I actually ended up choosing someone that they were going to subcontract to do the tile.

"Hi [Members Name], I spoke with John who was the estimator that was assigned to your project. He clearly remembered your project (even though it was from April of 2014) and he said that he didn't provide you with an estimate because he thought you would be better off dealing directly with the tile contractor in this case. He was trying to help you out by saving you a little bit of money and he also said that you went to high school with the tile contractor that he suggested (which appears to be the company that you ended up using). Sorry that we weren't able to provide you with an estimate this time but we were trying to recommend what was in the best interest for our customer."

The two guys that did it were really good. We were extremely satisfied with what they did. They definitely knew what they were doing. They took it all the way down to the studs and did a complete remodel. It’s an old house so the bathroom needed it! The pricing for the project was reasonable for the work they did.

Everything went good. Their pricing was fair for what they did. I did have a few problems with a few of their subcontractors, but they made sure to get those people back out there to fix the problems. They completed the work in about a month.

The fee started at $ 1900., and they kept adding items, and I felt at their mercy since I am not at all experienced in construction. It was a hundred here and there, and almost ended up double.

They did good work. He was there when he said he would be. He completed all the work in one day. The only complaint I had was their price.

Project was estimated to take up to two weeks. Started quick, framing, rough ins & inspections done within first 4 days. After that communication was, at best, sporadic. We were told subs would be there at a certain time and no one showed up. We had to make the calls to keep things moving, find out what was going on. While the work performed by subs was excellent we felt it was viewed as a small job and pushed aside for larger projects. But there were many days we altered our schedule to be here only to find the work pushed to another day. Eventually it took 4 weeks and 1 day for the job to be finalized.

We have used Popham for years and think the quality of their work is exceptional. This time we were very disappointed in not Popham workers - but in two of the contractors they used on the project. The electrical, plumbing and HVAC they used less expensive providers and we ended up having most or all of the work redone. No remodeling project is easy or perfect, in the end we thought Popham did a good job and responded to our concerns appropriately. Our house turned out beautiful.

Popham removed 3 French doors and removable blinds in my kitchen and replaced them with 3 beautiful Pella doors (in one piece) with mini blinds encased in the glass. I was very pleased with the entire job.

Contractor remodeled three rooms. Project involved removal of a load bearing wall. Job was completed on schedule. Special finishes on several elements were exceptionally well done. Contractor's foreman was superb.
