Installed gas fireplace, but it was back in 1997

Provider extremely knowledgeable. I have a small cast iron freestanding fireplace with a multi-piece chimney stack inside the house. I had an inside leak when it rained which had rusted the top and some of the front of the fireplace. He thought he was going to have to take due to the stack apart, but once he assessed the situation, he determined it was due to creosole build-up. He advised me based on my usage, I should get cleaned more frequently. I asked about the rust from the rain. He told me to use steel wool, but then to make sure I painted it, because if I didn't paint, it would cause problems when I used the fireplace. They have the proper type of paint. Extremely helpful.

They did a good job and got it clean. They came when they said they were going to come. Everything was fine and the price was pretty normal.

This was the repair of a cracked tile that was found previously in December during a chimney clean and inspection as part of a home purchase. The first appointment was easily rescheduled due to rain the previous night. I received a call ahead of them traveling over to do the repair. There was a two person team to carefully guide the lift into the backyard and the repair took about 4 hours. After the repair they cleaned the roof off and fireplace out. I was given both an excellent verbal and written description of the work performed. Everything that I'm able to see looks very good and I'm now ready to use it finally this winter!

They were not the cheapest of the companies and they were probably one of the pricier ones as they carried very good quality and higher end things. They were not a discount place by any means. They carried what we were looking for. We decided that was what we wanted. Hence, went ahead and picked that. They did a good job with the installation. The only little problem that we had was to get it started this year but they responded promptly to the service call on that. We paid $2000 for the equipment and the installation. They did a good job.

Brian from Basemiers came this morning. We had just bought our house and we wanted to get our chimney inspected and swept. We originally made the appointment a week prior but due to bad weather we were unable to be here for the appointment. The customer service people were very nice and had no problems rescheduling the appointment. During the inspection Brian found a few problems that we were not aware of. He found a hole basement chimney that was duct taped over and that the gas hot water heater was vented improperly up the stack. He also determined that there was problems with contruction of the chimney and that it would be unsafe to use. Due to this fact he only charged us for the inspection. He provided us we several option that we can pursue if we wish to fix these problems.
