UPDATE: After my initial experience at Ashley I was pretty upset so I decided to write the company. I e-mailed them my complaint and they actually called me. They apologized for my bad experience, but explained to me that the stores are individually owned so they had no control over how they handled things. They did however forward my e-mail to them to the Evansville store and I said I was fine with that. They again apologized and I thanked them for contacting me and that was that. The next day I got a call from the Evansville store about my e-mail they had received a copy of. They too apologized several times for the misunderstanding on my purchase and that it was simply a mistake. I explained to them that I understand that mistakes happen and that was not my problem. My issue was with the Owner's attitude towards the whole situation, not with the salespersons mistake....mistakes happen, we are only human. She again apologized and informed me they where going to give me a 20% discount on my whole purchase because of the mistake and inconvenience of the whole situation. Needless to say I was very happy about this since I was on a budget of what I could spend. So to me Ashley redeemed themselves and I believe deserve a second chance because they did finally make things right with the customer. When I get ready to purchase my new kitchen set I will go back and purchase the set I just fell in love with from them.
