Seems to be a small family business. Harold and his son were very friendly. Very thorough. They did the cleaning, charged as estimated, and honored a $25 off coupon I had. He showed me some pictures of some items that needed to be addressed, and gave me estimates. NO PRESSURE. I told him that my brother in law, usually did the waterproofing, etc. on my chimney, and he started telling me my brother could do the quoted work, and cheaper. He told me what he would need to do, where to buy the appropriate supplies and a much better water proofing than the Thompson's we had been using. Highly recommend !! I'm having them do some work later that requires higher temperatures.. Curt T

They came the next day after I called. Showed up on time, did a thorough inspection and cleaning and spent the time to explain a lot. Also let us know what repairs we could so easily ourselves and gave us an estimate for other work. We just moved into this house so it is our first chimney and we knew nothing. Did tell us none of the repairs needed to be done right away, and we could use the chimney. Did let us know what could be the long term consequences if the damage never gets fixed. We appreciated his honesty and not trying to scare us into doing the work right away.

The guys arrived exactly on time and went right to work.  They were finished in less than an hour.  They were thorough and professional, and they told me about potential future problems I might have with my chimney cap.  They gave me an estimate of the cost to repair the chimney cap but told me it was not urgent.  They also gave me good advice about what to burn in my wood burner.  I will definitely call this company again.

I telephoned TRCI in late September/early October 2012 and Larry indicated that his schedule was full until 10/27/2012. I made an appointment with TRCI for that date for morning service. At 2:00 on the afternoon of 10/27/2012, the service man had not yet arrived. I phoned TRCI and spoke with the after hours answering service. She indicted that Larry had lost his day planner and was not able to get in touch with his customers. She took my number and Larry called shortly after. He was not able to come on 10/27/2012 as planned so we rescheduled for 11/10/2012, the next date I had available. The week of that appointment, Larry telephoned me wanting to reschedule yet again. I indicated that I had no other Saturday dates available to me until December. I asked if I needed to locate another company to perform the work. He indicted that I did not and did arrive on 11/10/2012 at the time promised. Regarding the actual work, Larry was very thorough. He inspected and cleaned the chimney and even patched a few areas with mortar. He made suggestions on sealing the outside of the chimney next to the siding and provided an estimate if I desired him to do the work. He replaced the metal flue cap which had completely rusted and which was not the correct size for my flue. The entire job took approximately 90 minutes. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about his work. He cleaned up as he went along and there was no dust in my home from the chimney cleaning. I felt the price was fair even though I had had no prior experience with a chimney sweep service. Overall, despite the bump in the road over scheduling, I would use TRCI again next year for my chimney inspection/cleaning needs.

They had to remove a vent and replace it. They did a great job repairing and I can't even tell, the paint matches perfectly.
