Window Tinting
I would like to add to a previous report that the check was never stopped because I was advised not to by a lawyer. He refused to make good on his work, even though I did turn in a report to the Indiana Attorney General's office.

"I DID NOT REFUSE TO MAKE GOOD ON MY WORK. I REFUSED TO ILLEGALLY TINT YOUR TRUCK AND REFUSED TO WORK FOR FREE. I REPLIED TO THE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE WITH MY SIDE OF THE STORY AND I HAVE NEVER HEARD ANYTHING ELSE ABOUT IT."

Auto Detailing Service
The truck was dropped off at 8:00 Tuesday morning June 6th, Jeff Copus asked what color tint was to be installed. John stated that he wanted the same that was on the vehicle (this was witnessed). Jeff did not give any information as to State Laws or show samples of tinting at that time. When the truck was picked up it was in his garage and John could not see clearly so he paid Jeff. When he got in the daylight it was a very light tint nothing like the dark that was on the vehicle before. I called Jeff to see if he could change it and he said he could but he did not want to do it for free. At that time I stopped payment of the check and called Jeff and told him that I did. Later that evening John said he would rather have nothing than what was on there so I called Jeff and ask that it be removed and not replaced. He said he wanted the $110.00 plus half of usual charge for taking off tint plus any charges that might apply because of stopped check. I would like you to intervene.

"THE MEMBER ASKED ME IF I COULD MATCH THE TINT AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE. HE DID NOT ASK TO SEE ANY SAMPLES. THE TINT ON THE TRUCK WAS FADED PURPLE AND BUBBLED SO BAD THAT YOU COULDN'T HARDLY SEE THROUGH THE WINDOWS. I REMOVED AND RETINTED THE TRUCK TO WHAT I FELT WAS THE SAME SHADE AND ANYTHING DARKER IS ILLEGAL. HE PICKED UP THE TRUCK LATER THAT DAY AND SAID THE TRUCK LOOKED GREAT AND EVEN MADE SMALL TALK ABOUT DOING OTHER LITTLE THINGS TO FIX UP THE TRUCK. IT WASN'T UNTIL LATER THAT DAY WHEN THE MEMBER CALLED AND SAID SHE WISHES IT WAS DARKER. IN MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION I DID EXACTLY WHAT HE ASKED. THEY WROTE A BAD CHECK AND WANTED ME TO STRIP AND RETINT THE TRUCK ILLEGALLY FOR NO-CHARGE. SHE SAID I DID A VERY NICE JOB BUT SHE WANTS DARKER TINT. I EXPLAINED FOR EXAMPLE "IF I TOOK MY TRUCK TO A BODY SHOP AND TOLD THEM TO PAINT MY TRUCK GRAY, PICK THE TRUCK UP AND LATER CALL THEM AND TELL THEM I WISH I WOULD HAVE CHOSE BLACK AND EXPECT THEM TO REPAINT IT FOR FREE."
