They remodeled all the kitchen and bath. They listened to what we have to say and find exactly what we needed. Everything that we've done with them is topnotch and they go above and beyond.

Scheduling was a problem for them to show up at scheduled time. Several workers spent more time checking their phone than working. A panel for the kitchen wasn't unpacked properly and was thrown out with the trash and later had to be retrieved,. Countertop was broken loading on the truck. Work crew doesn't communicate office at the end of the day and when they don't return to finish the next day, we call and scheduler had no idea they needed to return. They installed a wall cabinet with obviously crooked doors. And now 2 1/2 years later I need to call them to fix flaking grout for the fourth time. Even talking to the owner didn't improve things 1

Had a terrible experience with Kitchens, Etc. 1. Communication with the office was bad - I always had to initiate communication and ask questions. If I did not know the right question to ask, I did not receive information. The only time they ever communicated without a prompt or question from me was when it was to remind me that payment was due. 2. The owner, Steve, came and measured my empty room and made suggestions on what to install. He suggested a floor to ceiling storage cabinet. I had custom cabinetry made based on his recommendations. Only problem? The cabinet couldn't be brought into my basement -- too big. Installers recognized this the instant they walked in the doorway. So they had to cut it into pieces to make it fit and then reassemble it. Same story on the Lazy Susan - it also did not fit and had to be cut apart and reassembled. 3. The cabinets are to be used for storage. We never discussed pull out shelves for any of the cabinets for that reason. But that's what was ordered, delivered and installed for the large cabinet (but none of the others). They were in before saw them. Steve claimed we discussed this and that I signed the drawings. We did not discuss it and I did sign the drawing, even though there was NOTHING on the drawing that signaled pull out shelves. He refunded me $200 per set of 4 and they installed the proper shelves a week after the first install. I'm sure I paid far more than that for them. 4. I needed a new sink. He included a sink allowance in his estimate so I assumed they would suggest a sink. When I heard nothing, a couple weeks later I emailed about it. The office person was unaware and said she would forward it to the buyer. I heard nothing back after several days. I followed up with Steve, who "thought it had been forwarded to the buyer". Turns out the buyer could not find anything that she would suggest and she informed the office, but not me. And that was it -- no alternative suggestions. I ended up buying the sink myself and he removed it from the estimate. The sense I got is that Steve makes the sale and then just lets other people try to make it work. There was no sense of ownership of my project. He never came to the job site to see it either, a first for me. The only good thing about this whole experience were the installers. They were all very professional and able to make the chaos work.

Laborers and Project Manager were professional and hardworking. Customer Service, scheduling and ownership was lacking. They were difficult to reach during the process, and did not always communicate important details. Also, many details we clearly communicated were missed or forgotten. Not all details were shared with the laborers onsite. I had to direct them on certain design aspects, like the height of the vanity. When an issue arose, small ones were quickly fixed by the Project Manager, while bigger ones were passed to the owner. While trying to resolve these issues, the owner and designer were argumentative and unprofessional. We even received part of an internal email, which said something offensive about us. The designer and owner made this process difficult and very frustrating. My entire career has been in customer service, and this experience takes the gold medal for the worst. Contrary to their typical reviews, our experience was completely different. I STRONGLY recommend choosing a DIFFERENT company.

The kitchen looks great and everything that was done was great quality. They are great to work with and stay in touch if there would be a change to the schedule. All of the workers that we encountered were professional and polite.

Every stage of the job was done with professionalism and quality.  The project manager first came out and assessed what all was needed. Then we went to their store and picked out the materials we wanted. The salesman was pleasant and knew what he was doing. Then the project manager came back and made a pattern of the top with measurements of everything. Then the installation crew came and installed the top and basin. Then the next day their plumber came and installed the faucet and hooked up all the water connections.

The countertop is a terrible quality.  It was not as thick as the store sample.  There is a seam that runs 20" next to the sink that looks awful.  When they installed the countertop, they measured wrong and my stove would not fit back into place.  They had to come back out on a Saturday and count down the top so my stove would fit.
When they came and installed the backsplace, they did not hook up the electric properly, so there was no electric in the kitchen around the counter areas.  They had to send out the foreman to re-wire, or reconnect the wiring.
I bought expensive copper trim to offset the white backsplash.  It was installed crooked.  I complained and they brought out the manufacturer.  After going back and forth, they gave me credit for one half of my cost for the molding only, in which they recovered at their cost from the tile company.  It still looks bad.
The caulking started cracking within 2 weeks of the installation, they had to come out and remove the caulking and re-do it with clear silicone.
Overall it was not a success.  I would not consider using this company ever again.

Great - they were on time. Finished the same day! They did reschedule with one day - but that worked better for us also in the end - so we did not mind!

At the start of job most things went well. Once my floors were redone the plastic sheeting came down and things went downhill from there.
Too many men were booked on same day so things were not done smoothly.
Plumber he hired (Frog) caused a leak, thankfully, Hawkins was out installing an RO system so their plumber fixed obvious leaks that his plumber said he "couldn't find". Hawkins, by the way, is a wonderful business to deal with.
After Steve Beggs (owner) agreed to reimburse us for the plumbing, I can't get him to respond.
He tried to bill us for Granite supports we paid for to Granite Creations (by the way, Granite Creations has outstanding customer service) and a sink I ordered myself online.  When I pointed these billing errors out and our overpayment  (due to the plumbing issue), he won't respond.
Very unprofessional.
We also have a small hole boring into adjacent cabinets because the cabinet must have been installed incorrectly.
He has a foreman Oscar, who is outstanding, he fixed things we were unhappy with.  But, the lack of response (and it's been weeks) from Steve to address our reimbursement is unacceptable.
I plan to contact him again this week with a photo of the cabinet, however, I am not expecting much.
My next letter will be to the BBB.
If you want your kitchen remodeled, my advice is to check out others in the area.
Response from KITCHENS ETC INC
"Mrs. [member name removed] is correct in her over paying. I had thought we supplied the counter top supports, per our original contract, but found out we did not once this was pointed out by Mrs. [member name removed] and confirmed by our job superintendent. There were a number of changes orders on this project after the contract was signed. I wasn't asked to respond, but to reimburse within 45 days, which is being done. It is our objective to get projects completed as quickly as possible and with the quality our customers and I expect. We schedule our people and sub contractors tightly in order to keep our time in our customer's home at a minimum. We have been in business for over 28 years and have built a reputation that I am proud of, and has kept us in business for this long. Sincerely, Steve Beggs Owner Kitchens Etc., Inc."

They arrived on time and were done well ahead of the estimated time. The crew was very courteous used drop cloths on the floors and covered other areas and cleaned up well. The counters look great and the cost could have been less but the sink and faucet I picked added to the price. I also had them remove the old counter-tops and do the pluming which added time and cost.

What was a simply structured easy project became messy, time consuming, and frustrating due to poor communication, poor planning and disappointing customer service. In summary the reason I would not use this company again include:
1) What was discussed upfront as a plan was not passed on to the others involved so service people showed up unprepared, uninformed, and job in some parts of the project were not prepared for them.
2) Two of two appliances purchased did not work properly.
3) Request for new applianced to be ordered was turned down. One appliance was replace with what I was told was something on the storeroom floor. The second one they didn't even offer to replace, through my preference was made quite clear during the first products resolution.
4) No one came to actually see a finished product of tiling, or of laminate repair.
What needs to be known is that the front line worker people that came to my house made every effort and delivered good service making the best of the bigger picture problems. This issue is with the person who I dealt with, who by all research means possible has been identified as the owner of this company. All others including me got thrown in the middle.

Be sure you request Les when entering the showroom. He was very thorough and patient working through the planning and layout phase of the project. He was open to our ideas and utilized his workers to be sure that everything we wanted could be done. Dave, contractor, was very good at many aspects of tear-out and installation. Ben, tile installer, did amazing work and had a wonderful idea of running the tub deck to the threshold of the shower for a very beautiful look, which also added much functionality. We loved the idea that they have their own project manager (Ryan) and contractor and tile installer. These were the people who were at our home most of the time, and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed the process immensely and never felt our space was invaded. They protected our carpets/floors, and never left a mess. They respected our time requests and dealt with any small glitches as they arose very professionally. A project which was quoted to take about 4 weeks ended up taking about eight due to the glass shower doors being incorrect when they came in. They were reordered, but since they came from Colorado, it took another 2-3 weeks before they could be installed. We would highly recommend Kitchens etc. and would use their services again. They quality of their product and service is commendable.

I thought that the workers did a very good job. They were friendly, cordial, and made sure that everything was the way I wanted it. My only complaint I had was that I was told it was going to be done in 3 weeks when it actually took 6 weeks.
