WIN Home Inspection Crown Point

WIN Home Inspection failed us miserably. The inspector failed to notice that the foundation on the house we were planning to buy was sinking. The inspection report was favorable so we bought the house. Now we are stuck with major repair bills and major stress and WIN HOME Inspection takes no responsibility.

Mr Yates gave me a time to meet him at the house he got there early and started without me being present.even
though I was early. I wanted to be there for the complete inspection. The inspection seemed to go well , he found a few things wrong , I asked a lot of questions , there were some concerns that I had but charley just seemed to go by his premade inspection report.
Well to get to the point there was a sag in the ridge about 4 inches caused from a bad splice in the ridge beams something a pro should have caught and an area of seapage in the basement which should have been obvious to a pro.
I contacted charley and all he did is look at it and admit he made a mistake when looking at the roof.
Offered to help me out, but that ment give me 350.00 back of my money.
The next year I had the roof repaired I called charley to get a refund but found out he sold his franchise.
I did talk to him and he said I promised you a refund an I will mail it to you.
That was over a month ago.
I chose Winn but I lost

Charlie from WIN Home Inspection was the owner and inspector of the service. He was wonderful and gave suggestions and tips after inspection and up keeps. He even referred an Indiana attorney to us which was also awesome. His wife was also outstanding, she was my first contact with WIN. She gave us information that we didnt know as well as a discount for first time home owners and VA. She took her time to tell us information before even asking for the sale. My husband did the home inspection with Mr. Yates. He was impressed with his knowledge and was very informative with any questions my husband had. At the end of the inspection he had ready a printed report with a binder to keep the information in.

Great Job. I made the appointment on a Friday afternoon and Charlie came Saturday morning. Charlie walked me through everything and was very thorough. Good communication regarding test results after the initial inspection. It was an expensive inspection, but saved me money in the long run!
