Home Inspection
Where do I begin? Owner (Cordell Sylvie) missed MAJOR electrical problems that I didn't find until the walk-through of the house -- didn't realize the house was on FUSES instead of BREAKERS. Rectified that and refunded my money; brought in an electrician "friend" who agreed to help me upgrade the box to a breaker box. "Friend" also told me electrical in house was ok. Cordell also missed the fact that my floor was rotting around the hot water heater and the house was sinking in the middle due to the rotting (told me that the sloping of the floors /bedroom doors not closing was due to the fact that house was old and settling.) He also missed the fact that the furnace duct work under the house was rusted out and sitting on the ground. I purchased the house, only to find these problems once it was too late -- ALSO then found out that 50% of the house's electrical is not grounded. So far it's cost me over $11,000 to make these repairs and I still have to have the electrical redone.
