Polite and courteous workers Made sure we liked the location and the type of plants

We met with another landscaper who had a great plan, but didnt do what WE wanted. We went to Hubinger and sat down with Eric and told him what we wanted done. He later came out and we walk him around and showed him what plants we wanted replace and what we wanted to keep.  We discussed together what plants to put in the front and I let Eric decide on the plants to put in the small area on the side of the driveway.
It took a while for them to schedule a date to start since we had a wet spring. The first day they they removed some plants and prepared the area for the paver edgers and planted the front plants.. The second day they worked on the low  retaining wall and the rest of the edgers and put down mulch. The third day they planted the tree, the area to the side of driveway and pavers on the east side of the house. When building the low retaining wall, they seemed to go real slow, but they were being very precise in making sure the blocks were level and just so. As they were planting in the front, I told Eric that it looked like the area  needed one more plant. He had no problem with the change and didn't even charge me.
I am very pleased with the with way everything turned out. Eric listened to what me and my husband wanted and did not go overboard. He was not there thru all the work but made sure the men knew what they had to do. He also asked if we like what was done the previous day.
I would definately use Hubinger again if I need any work done.

They worked very well and when they were done they cleaned up.  They were very friendly and if I had questions they answered all of them and didn't seem to mind.

It was great.  I just called them and they came over and did it for me.  Because I know them and I worked there before, they take care of me.  Like I said, they didn't even charge me for it.  I think they do very good work.  They are truly very professional.  Lots of experience and they are very good at what they do.

Everything went great from the start.  Loraine Keilman of Hubinger was very knowledgable, professional, and a pleasure to work with.  While all the crew members were pleasant and efficient, Paul was exceptional in the quality of his work and creativity.  My landscaping looks fantastic!

The project date did not begin as planned or promised due to extreme rain and a drainage problem, which presented to us all that there definitely needed to be some sort of drainage applied.  When I noticed that the block wall was not the way I had planned, I informed the workers, and they did as I asked, no questions asked.  They planted the plants that I had previously chosen with Lorraine (some she had to order, and some came in when the job was finished and they came back to plant them, and some were unavailable, so Lorraine called and we discussed use of another plant).  When a plant later died, Lorraine had no problem replacing it.

Had a lot of rain--concern about base for wall--they made sure that the base would be adequate in our clay soil and it was. They used decorative block to build a tiered retaining wall, put in drains within wall and attached house gutter drains, placed gravel, then dirt, tilled in mulch for plants, planted plants, applied fabric over soil, and covered with rubber chips. Their work was professional and of great quality. They even did a great job in cleanup.

We have had this property for almost 20 years and have gone through a string of companies who have been less than satisfactory (and we are not picky people). Part of the problem has been that this is an unconventional property and it is a weekend place for us - and we can't always coordinate to be here when work is being done. Jim from Hubinger's was like a dream come true. Ideas to solve our problems - clearly very knowledgeable. Work carried out as discussed - and executed beautifully. No shortcuts were taken (as we experienced with other groups.) Jim is quickly responsive to inquiries by phone or email. He was personally involved with solutions to our specific challenges. And his integrity is what you would hope for: When an aspect of the work was less than his estimate, he explained why - and deducted it from his final invoice. We cannot recommend Hubingers highly enough!
