I called them to come out to get it fixed, I chose them because they were able to come out the day that I called. Ends up they were not fixing it that day, they were just diagnosing the problem and had to schedule a day to come out. The most ridiculous thing was that they charged me for there travel time and for there first visit to diagnose was $109. The total job took 1hr to fix and cost nearly $450! FOR A LEAK! I will give them points for being nice and seems to have done a ok job as the leak is not happening anymore however if you can call someone else, call someone else, unless you just don't like money.

The quality of the work is fine, but the pricing is outrageous...I also don't know if it's necessary to stay as long as they did or they were really milking it because they charge by the hour.  I was expecting about 8 hours to be fair, but it turned out to be almost 15 hours, with 2 men working. So I got charged A LOT.
I will NOT use them again.

Two extremely professional and friendly guys showed up at my house - On Time.  They listen to what my problem was and went right to work!  They had to cut an access hole in my master bath closet to reach/replace the burst pipe as they could not reach it from my crawl space.  The guys kept me informed through the entire process, they were in and out in just over an hour.  Lohmeyer Plumbing may be a little more expensive but they are WELL WORTH IT!  It's a crap shoot these days to find a professional and friendly service provided. As this is my second experience with these folks, I'd say its a Promise with these folks!!!

I called four different plumbers and he was the only one who called me back. Then he came out the next day to give us an estimate. They started the work promptly. They finished it and did a really fabulous job actually. They're very professional. They did a good job.

Drain is unclogged and will be easier to clean both ways from outside.
Dig area was left in a mess.
My real problem is 2 workers * almost 100 per hour each.
I didn't ask for two plumbers.
I felt very overcharged.

I did get the installation of a clean-out drain, but the two plumber's work did not fix the problem in any way at all.  When I received the bill, I was in shock.  Earlier reviews warned me that Lohmeyer Plumbing is expensive but professional.  They were good at communicating and even arrived EARLY!  However, I was charged $488.39 for one hour and 15 minutes of work only to be referred to a septic tank clean-out service when they could not fix the problem.  When I called the company to protest the charge, Dave worked with me, and my bill was lowered to $391.26.  I still think this was too high.

Here is the original bill:

Service Call:  $109.75  (I was told that this is the standard service call for people OUTSIDE the city limits and is charged just to DRIVE TO YOUR HOME.)

Labor Cost:  $235.63 (Lohmeyer charges $94.25 per hour for EACH plumber provided)

Charge to use Drain Machine:  $100 (even though I already paid per hour for labor)

Supplies were Reasonable in Cost:  Plastic Pipe was $11.06; PVC Plug was $3.86; Female Adapter PVC $17.85; Concrete Mix $5.21; Miscellaneous Supplies $2.40)

TOTAL ORGINAL LABOR CHARGE TO BE AT MY HOME FOR 1.25  HOURS was $445.38!

Dave of Lohmeyer Plumbing understood that I was unhappy because the problem was not at all resolved, and I then had to pay a septic clean-out service.  He deducted 30 min. of labor cost ($47.13) and half of the drain machine charge ($50).  This is how my bill was lowered to $391.26.  (I still had to hire a septic clean-out service for $285 more!  If I had listened to a friend of mine and just called the septic clean-out service FIRST, I could have saved $391.26, but I thought a professional plumber could better diagnose the actual problem.)

They were great to work, very easy and honest with our problem. Without their help our weekend at the lake would have been a disaster. We thoroughly appreciated their promptness and professionalism.

Had a backed up sewer line that created quite a headache for me on a Friday morning. Called and by mid afternoon 2 very professional gentlemen came to the house and walked me through finding the issue. They were very informative and courteous. I was pleased with their work, how quickly they finished and how well they cleaned up afterwards. I will definitely call again with any other plumbing issues I have in the future!

The repair man was willing and capable of doing both repairs, however the shower head was the only one he could install yesterday since the other part for the sink was dark gold rather than the bronze. He had taken the broken sink drain with him for ordering during his original visit on 9/23/13. The employee at the office said the part would have to be ordered and when it came in she would call me to set up the repair date and time.  I made 2 calls over the course of the next 3 weeks to see when the parts would be delivered and was told Lohmeyer orders the part from their supplier, and if the supplier doesn't have it in stock they order it to be delivered to them first- then they send it on to Lohmeyer. I received a call from the employee I was dealing with from the start, at the end of last week. She said the parts came in, the repair man would be back from vacation this week, and an appointment was scheduled for yesterday, 10/16 at 0800 am.  The shower wand was replaced. He opened the sink drain, made a call to the office, and showed me the color was wrong and it would have to be reordered.  I told him I didn't want to have to wait another 3-4 weeks to be able to use the sink.  He said call and talk with (same lady I'd been dealing with who does the ordering) and see if it could be sped up, which I did.  She said she'd call the supplier and get back with me.  Called her back at 4:50p yesterday and asked if she had found out anything.  I was told she did talk to their supplier and they were to call her back, but the person she spoke with there was busy and so was she- however she'd call her again and get back with me.  I received a call this morning telling me that no one had the parts in stock and it would have to be ordered, and it would take about 2 weeks.  I told her to cancel ordering, send us a bill for what we owe up to this point, and we'd settle up on that.  She said "o.k.", I said thank you, and she hung up.  Not once during this entire length of time did she ever apologize for delays, or for ordering and delivering the wrong part (whether she made the error or their supplier), or try to be the least understanding how frustrating it must be to not have a bathroom sink for over a month. The only thing I know I will get in a timely fashion is the bill for payment on work completed.  Thank goodness they are not the only plumbing company in town!

We had neglected to remove the hoses from our faucets prior to a freeze early this spring and had busted both of them.  Entirely our fault, and while my husband and I are fairly handy, this would have taken us all weekend to get fixed.
Setting up the call went smoothly and they were available several days later at a time that was convenient for my household.  I asked for a quote on the phone and was given the pricing for the service call, hourly charge, and an estimate of how long each faucet would take, though of course that didn't include materials.  We expected the service call to cost between about $350 and $500 and got a bill for $408.  While this was more expensive than the quotes for several other local plumbers, reviews from a few friends indicated that Lohmeyer was one of the higher quality operations in town (and we will pay extra for high quality work).
Chuck called about 30 minutes before the 1pm scheduled time and asked if he could come early, which was awesome.  The whole thing took 95 minutes from when he parked the truck until he was all packed up to leave - and the invoice reflected 1.5 hours.  The quality of the parts is great - the new spigots are solid and of significantly better quality than the home's original ones from 1994 with vacuum release and Chuck even angled them slightly to make it easier to attach the garden hoses.  It took about a week for the invoice to come in and each item was very clearly listed and the quantities used matched what we would expect for the type of job.
Chuck was professionally attired, friendly and polite, knowledgeable, and seemed to work efficiently without cutting any corners.  We have been very happy and will be recommending their services to anyone who asks!

Last May we bought our first home - an older home from the 70's.
Over the summer, we experienced some bubbles in our toliets after flushing - we didn't think too much of it.
In the winter time we started experiencing sewage back up into our showers - not fun.
After several frustrating experiences with other companies unable to diagnose and correct the issue, called Lohmeyer out.
They were willing to listen to the details I gave them, and did a careful diagnosis. (Turns out that it wasn't roots in our sewage lines causing us grief as diagnosed by other companies.....it was the fact that our older house was still plumbed for high flow toliets even though the house had had low flow toliets for many years). They were up front and honest about the work, and took care of the job.
I appreciated how friendly the workers were, and the quality of their workmanship......its been 6 months since Lohmere corrected the issue, and we've seen no signs of any reoccurances.
I was a little surprised by the final bill.......I wish Lohmeyer could have articulated expenses a little better on a real time basis. However, after I got over the sticker shock I was glad to pay - a little money is worth it to know your toliets will work without a problem!

They are knowledgeable, courteous, professional and friendly.  I will know they will always do an above average job. I know they will do a good job and that is a peace of mind for me. They are a little more expensive but it is worth it because they always get the job done.

I called and they told me it would be mid-morning before they would get there.  I hung up and 10 minutes later they called and asked if they could come then-I was thrilled.  I was at work before lunch.

They are still very good. They are a high quality group of people and they charge a little more than some. We depend on them and they do a really good job. They are very reliable and they come when they say they will come. They are very courteous and they present themselves very well. I would like it if they were not so expensive.

They are reputable and a quality service provider.  The only thing I would say is that they are expensive; they do charge for travel and most of the other things.  If I decide to discuss the price, they have never been known to listen too carefully but I can find other places that could do better with the price.

The sewage ejector check valve installed in my basement was not the quiet type and casued a water hammer banging noise that shook the entire house.  Once I discovered this was the problem, I called them in the AM and they were at the house after lunch.  They installed a quiet check valve with no mess and completed the job in about 20 minutes.  Very responsive, reasonably priced and very professional.  I'd call them again for any plumbing issues.
