SAGAMORE GAS AND APPLIANCES, INC

I hired this company in 2007 to provide heating gas to my home. I purchased the gas on the "budget" plan. The cost was approximately $225 per month. During the summer of 2008 I had a heat pump installed to save on my gas bill. During the fall of 2008, they provided me as estimate of the budget plan for the year at $275 per month. I informed them that I had installed a heat pump and estimated my cost in heating gas to decrease by 50%. They declined to reduce the monthly cost to less than $225 per month. I was told that I could ask for a recalculation in December of 2008. In late December of 2008 I asked for a recalculation. They would only lower the cost to $200 per month. By this time I had paid $1,350 dollars. They had filled the tank in the fall with $885 worth of gas. At this point in time I still had 30% of my tank full. I told them that I found the monthly cost unsatisfactory. I contacted another supplier and had a new propane tank and supply delivered on January 5th of 2009. On January 5th, I called Sagamore and informed them to close my account and pick up my tank and refund my over payment and the extra gas in the tank. I again called them in late January because they had failed to do so. In the middle of February I wrote them and informed them that if the tank was not picked up by the 6th of March and my money refunded to me by that date I would submit a report to Angie's List. They picked up the tank on the 5th of March, but I still have heard nothing about a refund on my overpayment or the gas remaining in the tank. They still owe me approximately $225 to $250 for the overpayment, and approximately $300 to $350 for the remaining gas in the propane tank.
