They ran the computer diagnostics on my vehicle.  It threw 3 codes and a whine.  They were: 1)  Second gear Fault, 2) Temperature Code, 3) Transmission Fault Code and it had a whine which they believed to be a convertor wire.  I gave them permission to continue the work at the agreed upon price.  They pulled the transmission and discovered that I had broken the gear box in half.  There was so much metal inside it was crazy.  They had to replace every single part in my transmission.  They attempted to flush my transmission line that runs through the radiator and it was to full of metal.  They gave the prize to replace that or add another cooler for just the transmission and the additional cost of that.   We choose to add the additional cooler at a price of $125.  Once they had everything back together they went on a test drive and it would not shift into 5th.  When they returned from their 2nd test drive the entire engine was smoking.  The thermostat housing was broken.  They needed to replace that piece and take a look at 5th gear prior to saying it was good to go.  They completed that part change and got 5th gear to working they way it should.  Then they where having a hard time shifting it into reverse.  They decided to replace the cylinder pack.  They held true to their word.  The price for the transmission was $2200 + the extra cooler of $125 + the thermostat housing $95 + tax.  They didn't make any money on my transmission.  The extra cost where at my request.  They did a great job.  Took a little longer than I would have hoped but they did an excellent job and I could not be happier with the way it is working so far.  They include a 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty.  They would not let the vehicle go until they had gotten everything repaired.  They ask that we bring it back next week just so they make sure everything is good.  I would recommend these guys to anyone who asks.
