Combs Heating AC Services

Being satisfied with their work on my old hvac system in the past, I hired Combs to replace it with a new energy efficient one. As usual, installation was great, prices were reasonable, and the entire process went smoothly. They are honest folks and have been in business a long time...highly recommended..

I just built a home and had Combs Heating and Air install my heating and air. They only use quality systems, do a wonderful job with installation, and stand behind their products! I have used this company for years to do new construction, to replace existing units, and to do service. They have always been very reliable and trustworthy! Their heating and air service can't be beat!

They did an inspection. They were real good.

they arrived about 20 minutes early which is fine and within two hours had the unit installed with insulated pipe going through the roof with topper in place. Installed the flashing and have had no problems with leaks.  The hood great (I purchased the hood).

The install team was punctual and completed the work in one day.  They left minor drywall damage I painted later.

The major problem - the heat pump does not dehumidify at all well compared to the old system.  Combs made several trips during the summer trying to improve the operation.  The best they could achieve was 52% relative humidity.  Our house is well caulked and weather stripped.

After the technician said they had done all they could, Combs purchased a stand alone dehumidifier to help reduce the level.

I would recommend buyers consider another heat pump brand Combs may sell. The Amana unit has been a tremendous disappointment.

The Goodman furnace operated well during the winter.

The Aprilaire filter has cut down on dust compared to the previous system.

I have a contract with them that they would check twice a year and make sure everything is in running order.  When I call them, they are johnny-on-the-spot.  Trust them and would recommend this company to all my friends and family.

I called Combs Heating and Air from a family recommendation.  I had previously called another local company that had originally installed my system and was told that I needed a whole new System, close to $8,000 because they could no longer get a part I needed, even though my Home was only 5 years old.  I called Combs Heating and Air and they came out and told me that not only could they get the part, that my system was still under warranty!  It is now 1 1/2 years later and my system is still running like a charm!  I highly recommend Combs Heating and Air.

Left message through Angie's list on Saturday evening, but first thing Sunday morning I called because the house was getting very warm.  He asked a couple of questions and was on his way.  Very knowledgeable and the job was complete within a half an hour.  VERY PLEASED 

I used Combs Heating & Air Cndtng Svc for heating and A/c. I have used him for years. I had my furnace installed three years ago. I had my air conditioner installed about a year and half ago.

  Mr. Arlie Combs, the owner, came to our house and inspected the condition of our existing unit and gave us the proposal for a new Goodman unit to be installed.  After doing some research and discussing with Ron, another company representative, the idea of having a dual heating system installed instead of the standard heat pump.  We came to an agreement about adding a steam humidifier along with the April Aire air purifier to the heating system.  Ron, with much patience, arrived at the change in price quoted plus giving us an upgrade of the Amana line for the same costs as the Goodman. 

  The Combs Heating and Air Cond. service people worked professionally from the beginning to the end of the project.  They coordinated having the LP tank installed before installing the furnace/heat pump system.  The techs were very professional and tried to accomodate any special concerns I had with the installation.  I am very satisfied with the installation and the functioning of the equipment.  I had a concern the heat pump would be noisey but Ron assured me it would not be noisey.  He was right it is the quietist running system I have ever had.  We had the top SEER for the Amana heat pump installed and the price was still lower than the second  best Trane system quoted from another company.  

  Combs Heating and Air Cond. had a service tech come out a few weeks after installation to check the system and make certain it was functioning correctly.  The system is highly automated and very technical so it is essential these techs know what they are doing for it to be installed and functioning correctly.  I am very satisfied with the workmanship and professionalism shown by the staff of Combs Heating and Air Cond. and would recommend them to anyone needing a new system or just a repair of an existing system.  I had three other proposals and the others did not offer the same quality and were more expensive than the Combs Heating and Air Cond. quote. 

We had used this company several times in the past for repairs to gas furnace and central air and had always been satisfied with their work, price, and professionalism.  When new central air was needed we called for an estimate and advice on what to purchase.  We accepted the quote for a new energy efficient gas furnace and heat pump.  The installation was accomplished in one day and was done efficiently and professionally.  We would definitely recommend this company both for new installations and for repairs.
