Really great experience from start to finish. Rob is knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He was able to fit us into his schedule even with the holidays and finicky winter weather. He assembled the fences on site using top-grade cedar, which meant he was able to customize the height to our specifications. Really excellent work. Would definitely hire him again!

Rob Ward did a great job in repairing my aluminum fence gate issue. But even more important to me is he indicated that the installer of my fence installed commercial grade (which I paid for), but the posts were not the commercial grade that I had paid for. The thin aluminum posts is the reason for the gate pulling down and leading to inability to open the gate. I will add a review to the installer complaining about this. That installer was K&K Fencing. I called them before I called Backyard Solutions, and was told they are unable to make any fence repairs indefinitely "because they are unable to hire or find qualified people". I will definitely call Backyard Solutions in the future, and never again use K&K Fencing. I was also impressed with Rob Ward's integrity that I would also use him for deck work and carpentry.

Fantastic from the initial meeting to the end result! Mr. Ward is honest, professional, and considerate. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone for anything related to fence repair or construction. He straightened several leaning posts that were installed by a different company. He was honest that the fence had been installed in the wrong location and incorrectly and that his solution was temporary. I agreed that it was a temporary solution and was ok with that. He did an AMAZING job and replaced some broken slats and made our gate open without dragging.

Can we also talk about how crazy awesome the owner, Rob, is? Not only was he very personable and friendly, but he was also a hard worker. He single-handedly put up nearly 180 feet of shadow-box cedar fence and 4 gates post-by-post and board-by-board on site in less than 3 days. He even had to contend with our weird, uneven-because-of-erosion backyard hill. He took into consideration my concern about our dogs digging into those uneven bumps and made the fence line straight on top and tight to the ground on bottom. It's beautiful, and the quality of the materials is evident, as well as his master craftsmanship. I would still be measuring for my first cut if I tried to DIY this fence! It was so worth the price (which BTW matched the next lowest estimate we got from a big company who sent a salesperson and couldn't get to us for several weeks later than Rob). From his punctual responses to his materials knowledge to his quick work, I would absolutely hire him again if we ever need another project done.

He quickly responded to my request and was able to come out and give me an estimate within a day or two. It took about a month from there for him to find time to come out and do the repairs, but he knocked the job out quickly when he got to it without requiring much effort on my part, which is important to me.

Great, Rob is very efficient and you get commercial grade aluminum fencing for the same price of the cheaper residential grade, Would hire again.

Rob did an EXCEPTIONAL job. He is a one man team, but works with the energy of 3. Quality cedar and installed board by board to eliminate gaps. He even knew to use aluminum nails to avoid streaking later. Sturdy gate hardware too. Wish Rob the best and welcome anyone to see my awesome new fence!!!

John was very obliging with my schedule when to work out the design of the new deck. We quickly settled on a size and materials within my budget. The only delay was the weather in January. It took a few more days than the estimate but I was not in a rush so there was no problem. They took extra steps to do what I wanted with an extra hand rail on the steps and rough strips on the step treads to help prevent slipping. I'm very happy with the end results.

Rob installed a horse fence in my backyard. The installation went smoothly and the fence looks great. Rob was flexible with me on the installation date, as another project I was having done in the backyard had been delayed due to weather. I am very satisfied with the new fence, and enjoyed working with Rob.

Rob was easy to work with. After he had placed the order with the fence maker we asked for another gate. In order to save us the $300 cost of shipping another gate he installed our fence so that he could add a gate later. Once he had another fence order from the fence maker he added in our door and so we saved on the shipping. Once he had the gate he installed it and it looked great.

He was punctual, professional, a perfectionist, detail-oriented, and an all around great guy--what more could you ask for? We would use him again. We had zero complaints.

I called Rob to get an estimate on fencing our backyard. He returned my call quickly and was super polite. At the outset, he told me he was really busy right now and asked if I had a deadline for installing my fence. I felt that was great because I actually do have a deadline--an upcoming wedding in the backyard. We determined that he could not get the job done in the time I needed. However, he offered to give me a rough idea of what fencing might cost for my backyard since I knew the dimensions. HE offered. I didn't ask. He took the time to give me hints on how to determine if another fence estimate was a good one, and gave me some hints about quality. WOW!!! I SO wish I could wait to have him do my fence. Service like that just doesn't exist anymore! Please hire Rob to do your fence. I have a very good gut feeling you will be very satisfied with his cost and his professionalism!

Great guy. Very friendly and professional and he LOVES building fences. It's just him, so you know each post and each picket are done by a pro. Higher quality materials than the big boys and a good value.

The service was great. He was a very nice fella and he did exactly what he said he would do. He got right on the job when the materials came in and the work looked great. He was excellent and this was one of the better experiences that I have had with a service provider. The fence made the yard look really nice. I would recommend him to anyone.

He did excellent work and went above and beyond on our opinion. He didn't try to upsell for an entire fence, in fact, he expressed that only a portion of our fence really needed to be repaired. In addition to the fence we specifically requested he designed a free-standing fence to screen the view of some unsightly siding on my neighbor's house. We found him to be very very kind and personable as well. He was a pleasure to work with and we will certainly recommend him.

He came quickly, assessed the job and gave me an estimate. My HOA sat on the paperwork for a couple of months. However, Rob stood by the original estimate. He installed the fence posts in my horribly rocky ground and came back two days later to complete the job. He is a masterful fence builder. He uses a top quality ceder wood and is an excellent communicator via phone and/or email. I'm very impressed with Backyard Solutions and recommend Rob without reservation.

We were extremely pleased with the quality, craftsmanship and customer service we received from Rob. The estimate was lower than others we had received for the same job and he did terrific work. He was very good about explaining the duration of the work and when he would be able to get it done. He completely tore down the old fence and hauled everything away so there was no mess at all. He helped us select the type of fence and had many pictures with examples of fences to look at. We recommend Backyard Solutions to anyone needing a fence!

I had a 5 x 10 area that was behind a storage shed. The problem was, the dogs would get back there to inspect and when it rained they got all muddy. I wanted to fence off the area. This was by the corner of my neighbors fence. He, Rob Ward, tightened their fence and put up a new section of fence and tore down the existing , really old, fence and carted it away. He came out the following week after I called him and did all the work in about two hours. Rob was very courteous and kind. I would definitely call him again.

They visit went very very well, he worked with one other man that had to replace the entire fence dig the post holes in the yard and had to place the post holes in cement, and they finished the job in less than 3 days!

I needed only simple repairs at this point, but I was treated with the same professionalism I would expect if I were erecting an entire fence.
