Our cold water shut-off valve behind the washing machine had begun to leak.  The plumber came the next day, on time, and did an excellent job replacing both the hot and cold valves, quickly, and even offered to hook up the new supply hoses I'd bought.  We called him again a couple weeks later to install a new kitchen faucet.  Again, timely and excellent work.  In each case the cost was very reasonable, lower than I'd expected.
