Kitchen:
-Project began 9/7/2015
-Project completed 11/18/2015
-Project approximate completion date 10/1/2015
-I notified Banter Rep on the 9/16/2015 about the cabinets being entirely too high and are not useable. He came out to the house, re-measured and stated that he measured the old cabinets not from the ceiling as my new cabinets were ordered for.
-Brett (Banter vendor) came out to re-install these cabinets in the first week of October, they were ordered with the wrong doors.
-Once the flooring began the contractors un-installed our brand new cabinets, was not necessary since we elected not to tile under the cabinets. Contractor had other plans, communication between Banter and contractors are lacking.
-Contractors cut all the tiles in my backyard and utilized my garden hose and water. Left the water turned on and I lost all of my softened water. My garden hose box leaks and after a year of grass treatments I had salt softened water into my yard that kills grass. I instructed Banter Rep to tell the guys NOT to leave the water spigot on as it drained all my softened water. I had no issues with them using it, but just to take more care with my property.
-Contractors left my water on the very next day, flooding my yard with softened water for a 2nd day in a row. Tile/water residue up my stairs of my deck, all over my patio in the backyard. Again, simply communication isn't there.
-Contractors grouted the electric lines for the dishwasher (not necessary) (Banter Rep has the 60+ pictures)
-Contractors installed 4 broken cornered tiles, installed grout to fill in where the broken tiles were and left over a box of tile in my garage, unopened/unused.(Banter Rep has the 60+ pictures)
-Contractors installed tiles at table location that were not level and that the chair legs hooked the uneven pieces. (Banter Rep has the 60+ pictures)
-Contractor grouted the tile but there were several tiles that weren?t grouted very well, some missing grout and weren?t completely filled in.(Banter Rep has the 60+ pictures)
-Contractors did not clean up the grout off of the tiles which residue turned into sand paper. (Banter Rep has the 60+ pictures)
-Quarter round missing behind the refrigerator and stove
-Contractors did not install the floor as planned by us and Banter Rep. We wanted a border all the way around kitchen and the installers did not do it this way. Border installed 10 ½? on west side, 7? on south side, 8? on the north side and no border in front of the cabinets, appliances or new stand-alone cabinet on south side. After all of these issues stated above and talking with Banter Rep along with her reviewing the pictures, she agreed that the floor needs to come out and be re-installed the correct way. Sad part is they didn't move our re-install up to get us taken care of we waited another 5 weeks for this to take place.
-2nd Install of kitchen floor, since only the kitchen flooring was being installed, should have had a drop cloth or plastic sheet to limit the dust. That didn?t happen, dust was everywhere in the upstairs of the house including inside of cabinets, couches, floor, etc. (Banter Rep was emailed additional pictures)
Living room, Hallway and 2 Bedrooms:
-Quarter round was cut and no stain was applied on the cut so it sticks out when looking at.
-Quarter round not snug to transition piece between kitchen and living room
-Bullnose at the top of stairs (west side) corner is raised and is a tripping hazard
-Bullnose at the top of the stairs, nails are coming out already
Updates:
-As of the 27th of November, everything is done.
-We requested some compensation for the amount of time and errors that were made on these projects. None was given!
-Installed new Quarter round in the kitchen, didn?t match previously installed quarter round.
-Bullnose from the stairwell that was ordered (didn?t have enough the original install) it is also the wrong color.
-Door jam in the entrance and Kitchen has no grout between the jam and the tile itself.
-I received a note from Banter Rep about my need to make payment of the remaining balance and that management denied the request that I be compensated for all the above stated problems. Also the 2-3 week rehab that now has taken almost 3 months.
-The inside sales folks/reps have major communication issues. The last part of the ?repair? of the flooring the contractors were at my house and were unable to enter as we were never informed by Banter of when it was going to take place.
The crew was friendly and cleaned up nicely.
