After receiving a quote of over $4100.00 to repair our 6 year old air conditioner from an other highly rated Angies List company, we decided to get a second opinion. Tom Shelburne was prompt and very friendly. Within 1 hour, he had identified the problem as an inexpensive capacitor which he had on his truck. Very soon, our house was cool and comfortable. He even replaced several bolts that had been 'lost' over the years during maintenance from previous companies. Tom was clearly knowledgeable and was very good at explaining what was wrong. Unlike other companies, there was no pressure to replace the entire system. We have learned a valuable lesson. Always get a second opinion.

Tom was highly recommended by some one who I trust, but after coming to my house to see the work I needed done, he never gave me an estimate or called me back, even after I left voice mail messages. Because of prodding by the person who recommended him, I tried again several months later, reaching Tom on his cell phone. He said he was busy, but would call me back later that day. He never did. Once again, I left messages, but never got a call back. While at my house, Tom pushed geo-thermal, which sounded great, but was outside of my budget. My guess is that he did not want my business because it wasn't a big enough job. Simply telling me this would have avoided this bad rating. Instead, Tom decided to act unprofessionally.

The price was good and he did an excellent work. I will grade him high across all categories.

Tom was very polite and extremely reasonable. He always goes straight to work and doesn't waste time.
