I am pretty sure I won?t be able to really convey how strongly I recommend Nicole as a real estate agent/advocate, but I am going to try. In a nutshell, I think I?m pretty high maintenance about real estate agents. I worked with several in Chicago and only had one that was really good, so I approached my Indy search with relatively low expectations. Enter Nicole ? who quickly showed me that my expectations would be surpassed?and then some! She was referred to me by a friend when I decided to move from Chicago to Indianapolis and I could not be more grateful for the referral.
Two big snow storms prevented me from driving down to have an initial meeting with Nicole, so she took the time to talk to me on the phone about what I was looking for, what I liked, what I didn?t, etc. She asked me to send pictures of my current home so she could see what how my style and tastes ran. And then, recognizing that I was on a really constricted timeline, she proceeded to preview over 25 homes for me before I came down for my first round of showings. The initiative she took to preview these homes was a game changer for me. She saved me hours and hours of time because she eliminated homes that definitely would not have suited me. This made our time together very focused and very efficient as we focused on fewer homes, but since they were all viable options I never felt like I was wasting my time.
This efficiency allowed me to quickly narrow in on the home I wanted to buy and Nicole was truly instrumental in helping me think through the pros and cons of the property. She has a really wonderful ability to visualize the potential in a home and does so with an eye towards both the creative and practical aspects of renovation and remodeling. She proactively called experts about issues/concerns I had and was incredibly patient with all my questions and random thoughts/ideas throughout the process. Plus Nicole?s husband, Paul, has extensive knowledge of renovation and home systems, so her knowledge about what can and cannot work/be done to a home is WAY above average. It was a huge bonus to have Nicole be able to discuss my questions with Paul and tap into his experience if she didn?t know the answer herself (which she did more often than not).
From the initial phone conversation to the closing and beyond, Nicole simply went above and beyond to help me buy a home I really love. I found her to be extremely responsive, knowledgeable, patient, fun and funny (you have to have a sense of humor when spending this much money!) but above all, she had the right level of experience and understanding of the market to be my advocate and champion during the whole buying process.
I have and will continue to recommend her to anyone I know who is contemplating buying or selling their home and I promise you that I don?t do that lightly (remember, I acknowledged that I am high maintenance about real estate). You will not go wrong if you work with Nicole. She knows she is welcome to give my number or email to any potential clients and I?ll be happy to talk to them about my experience with her. In addition to helping us buy our new house, he also helped us sell our old house. Paul and Valerie walked through the house with us and gave us staging advice, most of which we took. Once we were ready to list, Paul was quick to get the pictures taken and the house listed online. Within the first few days we had many people look at and show interest in the house and were able to find a buyer before the end of day 3.
One thing I also really like about Paul and the ScherrerBros Realty group is that they provide a great service at a very good rate and also have a satisfaction guarantee. I never once felt like I needed it though and would without a shadow of a doubt use them again for future real estate transactions!
