Roger's tree service & landscape

Hard to get a response from the owner. Showed up the day of the job and left early and did not finish. Told they were coming back the next day and then a few days later and they never showed up. Finally showed up days later. Finished the job and then two weeks later noticed a lot of weeds popping up all over. Also air conditioning unit had small holes in it from their rakes and system was very low on free on..had to pay to have it serviced and free on replaced. Was told that landscaping guys will take off the caps and put towels done using the air conditioner but in this case they didn't put back properly and our A/C guy noticed it. Contacted owner to express concerns and ask what they would do. His response was he would come back and lay a weed preventer at an additional cost. Then had the nerve to say he had actually given me a good deal and sorry for the inconveniences but if I wasn't happy all he could say was sorry! I refused to pay him more money. We have had our landscaping done by other companies in the past and this has never happened. Horrible experience!

Great, they did an awesome job!

they sounded really professional but they didn't do one professional thing they whole time. they cut the tree down in huge unmanageable chunks in my yard (I estimated 1000lbs each). They were suppose to grind the stump and I later found out that instead they took the time to cover with sawdust so it appeared to be ground down. I gave them over a month to come and chop up and stack the wood and basically finish the job. He also told me he was going to come and clean up the mess they made in taking down the tree down a mess that fell over to my neighbors yard. I had to pay someone else to clean up that mess. Also in taking the tree down the tore down a section of my fencing. So what took them over a month to not finish I hired another company to complete their less in one day.

I was referred to Rogers by a friend that had used his service.  I called Roger and left a voicemail.  He returned my call the next day.  We scheduled an appointment to look at the tree and receive an estimate.   He did not show up for the appointment.  I called him and left a message to see if he was still planning on coming over.  He did not return my call.   My friend suggested that I give him one more chance so I called him back.  He called me back rather quickly.   We scheduled another date and time to look at the tree.  He was a no show again.  He did not call me after the second no show.

Roger came out and took down the tree and hauled away the debris as promised.  I am STILL WAITING for him to come out and grind the stump.  Everytime I call I get a different excuse as to why he hasnt done the work yet.
My last conversation with Roger was today (9/22/15) as 10:35 am. He told me he had the stump grinder and would come by today.  Once again he did not keep his promise.

Roger's communication is AWFUL. He didn't call me to let me know he wasn't coming out that first night. He didn't let me know he was coming the next day, I had to call him. After a week of waiting on him to come back and grind the stump I called him and asked him when he would come. He told me it would be the next week. Next week came and I called again and he told me he'd gotten behind and that it would again, be next week. This same pattern continued week after week, with him beginning to dodge my calls. I had to call him from a number he didn't recognize to get him to pick up. I asked him point blank if he wanted out of the quote, if he was going to honor his contract, and when he was honestly going to show up. He dodged around the question, but assured me that he would be there... probably in two weeks this time. A month later now and I still haven't seen or heard from Roger. I guess I'm going to have to find someone else to grind that stump.

I had 10+ different companies come out to bid on the project and they weren't the cheapest but seemed professional. I wasn't disappointed at all. Him and his crew did an outstanding job in no time. He even took out some branches and shrubs that we talked about but wasn't included in the final cost.

Work remains incomplete after several attempts to contact.  Promises to show up have continuously been broken.
