It was great. I had no issues with them. I just went with a different company. It was average. Price was average. They were quick to call me back.

We were completely satisfied with Robert Stevens Roofing, Rick, and the crew. Rick was prompt with returning phone calls for obtaining estimates, communicating start dates, and arrival and departure times. He worked with us because, while we love the shake look, the cost of replacement was very high. He found a look that satisfied and was more cost friendly. The crew was respectful of our property and our privacy. We would use this company again.

A little late writing review for new roof and gutters on our house early June 2016. No issues. Timely, courteous, knowledgeable, responsive and good communication. Appears to be good quality work- no issues 6 months out. Hope the roofing crew is paid well. They worked hard.

This company was recommended to us by one of our neighbors and they were highly recommended by them for being courteous and very professional. We received a good estimate and the company was very communicative regarding the date and time the work would start. The job was done very well, very quickly, with a fair price and by a highly professional team. It was clear that they valued the quality of the work and completed the job to our expectations. Would definitely rehire in the future. With the quality of the roof, I doubt we will need to soon. We owe our neighbors a dinner out because of the recommendation.

Received phone call without seeing job he said I needed a new skylight. I called someone else and it was a simple sealing around for $75. No more leaks. It was clear they did not want a small repair job and in that case should have said that

After researching 4 roofing companies, 3 of them "A rated" on Angie's List, and 1 outside Angie's List that we had used previously for a smaller job, we decided on Robert Stevens Roofing because of their knowledge and expertise with replacing roofs similar to ours. We had Owens Corning Duration Onyx Black Shingles installed on a large steep roof with a 9/12-10/12 pitch and RD Stevens Roofing was confident in handling the job. They always communicated in a timely and professional manner and addressed any issues that cropped up quickly and satisfactorily. The project manager was efficient and friendly and the laborers worked hard. Before they began on the roof, they also installed 5" of Atticatt insulation. RD Stevens Roofing's pricing was competitive for the same quality of work than a well known Roofing company that was quite a bit more expensive. We had one concern after the job was completed, and they came right away to fix how one of the shingles was attached.

My house is an older house (60's), and I'm pretty sure the roof had only been replaced once before. Having been up on the roof a number of times, I noticed the decking began to feel somewhat "spongy" as I walked on it. Eventually, a small inside-leak developed, and after seeing decking wood-rot from the attic, I decided I wanted the roof completely torn off down to the rafters. Robert D. Stevens was the second contractor I called, but due to scheduling they were the third to come out to look at my roof. Rick Campbell, who is a project manager came out to provide the estimate. He was professional, and very personable, and I liked him immediately. Of the FIVE contractors who came out, he was the only one who brought a camera, and attributed the deterioration of the decking beneath the shingles to wind damage (which had blown off numerous shingles), and the subsequent water-seep. Prior to Rick's inspection, I was resigned to the thought that I would probably have to pay the entire cost out of pocket, because I didn't realize that some of the damage was claimable. Apparently none of the other contractors did either, because no one else mentioned wind damage. That was the first thing that separated Robert D. Stevens. The second thing was that even though I had not accepted Rick's bid at that point, he provided the photos he had taken, and even agreed to meet with the insurance adjuster to walk through the inspection. As a result of Rick's thoroughness and willingness to help someone who wasn't even a customer at that point, I was able claim some of the roof damage to offset the cost of the roof replacement. Robert D. Stevens' bid wasn't the least expensive, nor the most expensive either, but it was very competitive. The third thing I liked, was that they make, and hang their own gutters. That's right, they don't sub-contract out the work. It was fascinating to see gutters being actually machined onsite. The bid was a very professional document, that was easy to understand, that laid out everything that was to be done, and the costs. I had a few questions, and even a couple of changes I wanted, and there was no problem getting answers to my questions, or amending the bid, which serves as the contract as well. Suffice it to say, I went with Robert D. Stevens, and I couldn't be happier. After "signing" the contract, Rick provided me some shingle samples and product documentation. Well ok, of course NOBODY is perfect, right? In the of interest of completeness, the only very, very minor issue was scheduling. But that was understandable because 1., these guys are good, so they stay busy, and 2., because of the time of year (fall) and the fact that my attic would essentially be exposed to the sky for several hours (or longer), we had to schedule around any potential rain. Number 3 -and I learned this from the experience with my own roof- is that "stuff" happens, and sometimes unforeseen things can cause another job to be extended, which can throw off other scheduled work. The good thing is that you KNOW that they are going to stay on the job until it's complete. When the materials were brought on site, I decided that I wanted another "drip edge" color, and as another example of their willingness to please the customer, the on-site supervisor cheerfully took all the drip edge back to the supplier, and returned with the newly selected color. The crew descended on my roof like a swarm of locusts, and before I knew it, I was looking at the rafters and into my attic. They parked a big dumpster in my drive next to the house and as the workers tore off the roof, everything was walked to the dumpster side of the roof and tossed, so I didn't end up with a yard full of roofing nails and chunks of asphalt. The work was progressing quickly and efficiently. Everything was going great, but midstream, I decided I wanted some of the fascia, molding, and soffit replaced. To add to matters, the original fascia was had a routed "groove" into which the soffit edge was fitted, which would require additional custom wood work and milling. No problem! Rick had the additional wood work done onsite, and it was impeccable. Of course there was an extra charge for the work, which he was willing to negotiate, but I was so pleased with the work, that I accepted the initial billing as offered. There were also other "little touches" that were performed without cost such as painting the roof vents to match the shingle color (black). The last things to be installed were the gutters. On that day, a truck that looked like a bread truck backed up my drive, and when they opened it, it had a weird-looking contraption holding a huge roll of painted aluminum. After performing any additional minor fascia repairs/replacement, the "gutter guys" (including Rick) measured a section, and then proceeded to use the contraption in the truck to machine a perfectly formed and fitted length of gutter, and then hung it. The great thing about THEIR gutters is that no matter how long the section (one side of my house is at least 25-30 feet), the machined gutter is a single, continuous length of aluminum. That means there's no sections to piece together, and no potential for leaks from improperly sealed seams. Not to mention the coolness factor of watching your gutters being made and custom-fitted on the spot. Also, and this is important, is the fact that by making and installing their OWN gutters, they can save you some money over the roofers who subcontract out gutter work. After completing the work, they inspected/walked the perimeter and picked up every bit of material and used a magnet to pick up any nails, and my yard looked as if they were never there. All-in-all, the roof and gutter work took approximately two days to install, and it looks great!...Outstanding job, and I couldn't have been more pleased with the value I received for money. Robert D. Stevens is the epitome of professional contracting services, and I would not hesitate to use or recommend them in the future.

Robert and Rick were both extremely responsive to our initial inquiry about a roofing estimate. They got out to the house quickly and provided a thorough estimate the same day in writing. A few days before the start date, Rick came out to the house with multiple shingle samples and answered all of my questions about quality, wear and tear over time, so I could pick the best option. The first day of work, the roofers were all very prompt, put protective measures in place to keep debris out of the gardens and off of the house structures. I was very impressed by the work ethic, the entire team worked from 7am till a little past 9pm due to impending rain the next day. The roofers did an excellent job removing four skylights that we no longer wanted in the house and framed in the areas before laying down the decking. They were just as prompt the second day as they were on the first and the end product is a fantastic looking roof. I had no idea how much debris came with removing a roof and Robert D. Stevens did an excellent job removing all of the debris and nails and even came into the house and used a shop vac to clean the areas that had sawdust as a result of removing the skylights. We are extremely pleased with the final product and would strongly recommend Robert D. Stevens Roofing to anyone needing a new roof.

Rick came out to our home to inspect the condition of our 11 year old roof. Several of our neighbors are having their roofs replaced completely, or repaired, so we took that as our cue to have ours looked at. Rick called an hour before, and gave a detailed report when he finished. Fortunately, our roof is in great shape, but if it needs any work in the future, we will definitely give Steven's roofing a call. Ricks professional, honest opinion was greatly appreciated.

We needed to get a new roof and called around for estimates. They called back quickly and scheduled an appointment to check out the roof and send us an estimate. Everything went smoothly and we had the estimate on the table a few days later. We went with a different provider but we were very happy with their prompt replies and professionalism.

Robert D. Stevens Roofing came out to inspect and repair the roof after a bad storm had torn some shingles off. Very prompt and efficient! We have used this company in the past to do our gutters as well and they always do great work!

Mr. Campbell is the project manager. He is very professional. He did our roof repair last Tuesday 9 pm before the rain. When we found out that there were still two shingles missing and contacted him over the weekend he scheduled the coming Tuesday to fix them. He did a very good job to fix the roof and made the loosing shingles secure. We are very satisfied with his work and would like to recommend the company to our friends.

Rob contacted me to see what services were needed. Explained the recent winds had blown shingles off of the roof,I estimated 5 were missing. We set up an appointment for a Monday between 2-4.. He arrived a few minutes early we spoke briefly and he went to work. He replaced the missing shingles, way more that five, and caulked around the roof vents and inspected the roof. After completing the repairs we went over what he had done. What was especially nice was he never mentioned replacing the roof. If I need additional repair work or need to replace the roof he'll be the first person I call. Price was very fair for the work done.

Rick Campbell was the project manager. He came out and provided an estimate on same day I called. Work was scheduled for a few days afterward, and it was completed in a single complete work day as promised. Work site was clean, and I appreciated the attention to making sure no debris went down my gutters/underground pipes. Rick then walked the site with me the next day. I appreciated how they explained what was and wasn't warranted, and this was all very fair. As it's raining now, I went up into the attic and can confirm they correctly fixed the problem. Rick also left a few leftover shingles in case I'd ever need them. Excellent work and much appreciated.

Rob's company was very punctual ---- I hired them Friday afternoon and they were out the following Monday to make the repairs. They did a very nice job, and took photos and emailed to me at work so I could see the repairs without climbing up on the roof. I would recommend this company and use them again.
