Robert Stevens Roofing

Good experience overall. Rob is very professional and efficient. He has great follow up--much better than the other companies I called (I called about 4 other companies). He's an honest guy and a pleasure to work with. He has a team of hard workers who finished the roof in a day and a half! He was also much less expensive than the others. We only had one mishap, where the workers accidentally threw out the decorative box pieces on our gutters, but Rob quickly resolved it by buying us new ones at his expense and putting them back on the gutters.

Mr. Stevens was quite accommodating in providing us shingle samples and alternate pricing for different options. The work was done in a couple of days. Any questions or concerns we had regarding the work was answered promptly. Their prices were on par with other roofing companies we received estimates from. We did find several old nails on the driveway that washed off the roof after a heavy rain. The roof was done in 9/05 and needs to be replaced again due to hail damage. We will most likely be hiring them again to do the work.

We didn't call for estimates right away like we should have but ended up waiting until we had an emergency! I had contacted Rob in early June to request an estimate, and he came out within the week to look at our house and was able to send me the estimate via e-mail. I had plenty of questions, and Rob was extremely patient and answered them all for me very quickly. At this time, he was about 6 weeks out for scheduling, and that was fine with me. In the meantime, we had a small leak at the flashing on the chimney and Rob caulked it for us when he did the estimate. Unfortunately, we had some pretty heavy rains that following weekend and ended up with a very big leak in our attic and water coming down our living room wall. I e-mailed Rob Sunday evening, and he called me Monday morning and was able to schedule us for that Sat. Rob & his crew are exceptional and deserve recognition for going above and beyond to help us. The roofs look great! I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

I have worked with them before and I have been really disappointed this time around in a few categories.The largest concern I have is that the entire crew had no english speaking employees on sight the entire time.This led to some problems.Their workmanship in a few areas were very good and in a few areas were disappointing, particularly in the area where a roof joins the siding of the house I would have to rate them as being very sloppy.Additionally there were parts of the house where they damaged it. Window sills had been damaged from falling debris. I am going to have to replace a couple of window sills.I have vinyl siding and that was ripped on part of the house, which will need to be replaced.They did not protect any of the vegetation around the house. I have some bushes that are damaged, some that are just smashed to the ground.Their clean up was poor.They used only 2 tarps and there was debris left and I have picked up 100 nails.If they had used more tarps it would have beengood

The entire experience of replacing our roof could not have been better. Rob responded immediately to make temporary repairs to our roof after a hail storm had damaged it. His bid was the best and cheapest of the four bids we received for the subsequent work. After we selected him, he worked with us on picking the right type and color of shingles. He also made sure that we had adequate roof ventilation and drip edging. The workers were fast and expert and did a fantastic job. They cleaned up after themselves perfectly. Rob personally inspected the roof afterwards and made sure that punch list items were taken care of. I'd recommend him to others with confidence.

Responded quickly with estimate (via email). Because, of the weather, completed our job on the weekend. Robert's crew is polite and very hard working....we were very impressed. We are pleased with the quality of work.

They were great. They were very punctual. They got back with me right away and did the work in a very timely fashion. I was very satisfied.

My best experience yet with a contractor. Mr. Stevens provided a written estimate promptly, kept me well informed via cell phone and e-mail, responded to my questions clearly and offered cost-saving options. His crew fixed a small flaw that was overlooked immediately. Highest marks - I would recommend this company without reservation.

They did a good job and they were the cheapest by far. They had the best price.

He stated that we did not need a new roof! He was honest enough to tell us this and replaced one shingle we were worried about. Great service.

I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN.

Very professional. Reasonably priced. Completed the job a week after quoted completion date. After a couple of significant rains, no problems have been encountered.

WE WERE VERY SATISFIED, SO WE RECOMMENDED THE COMPANY TO FRIEND WHO HAD A MUCH BIGGER JOB THAN OURS.

ROBERT WAS VERY PROMPT IN GETTING A QUOTE FOR THE REPAIR AND ONCE I GAVE HIM THE GO-AHEAD, THE JOB WAS DONE QUICKLY. ROBERT ALSO UTILIZED EMAIL, WHICH IS A VERY HANDY FORM OF COMMUNICATION. I WILL BE USING HIS COMPANY TO REPLACE MY EXISTING ROOF IN THE NEAR FUTURE AS WELL.

HIRED THEM TO RESHINGLE OUR HOUSE AND A DETACHED GARAGE. ROBERT WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND PROVIDED GOOD SERVICE. HE CAME BACK TO DOUBLE CHECK WHETHER OR NOT A TEAR OFF WAS NECESSARY WHEN I RECEIVED A BID FROM ANOTHER COMPANY THAT INCLUDED THIS IN THE ESTIMATE. THEY WERE ABLE TO SCHEDULE OUR JOB WITHIN A WEEK OF ESTIMATE ACCEPTANCE AND COMPLETED THE JOB IN TWO DAYS.

EVEN THOUGH ROBERT WAS IN THE BUSIEST TIME OF THE SEASON, HE HAD DONE MY WHOLE ROOF ON OUR LAST HOUSE, AND I CALLED TO SEE IF HE COULD HELP ME OUT ON SOME MISSING SHINGLES ON OUR "NEW" HOUSE WE HAD JUST BOUGHT. ROBERT FOUND THE TIME AND DID AND EXCELLENT JOB.

GREAT COMMUNCIATION WITH ESTIMATE AND WHILE JOB WAS IN PROGRESS. QUALITY JOB. EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL. LOWEST BID OF THREE THAT WE OBTAINED.

ROOFING COMPANY DID A VERY COMPLETE JOB. PRICE WAS COMPETITIVE WITH ESTIMATES RECEIVED FROM 3 OTHER ROOFING COMPANIES. JOB COMPLETED IN 2 DAYS. REQUESTED GUTTER WORK TO BE PERFORMED BY THEIR RECOMMENDED SUBCONTRACTOR WAS NOT PERFORMED.

OVERALL WE HAD AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE. HE WAS FAIR, QUOTED THE WORK, AND COMPLETED THE WORK EFFICIENTLY AND WITHIN 2 DAYS. HIS CREW WAS RESPECTFUL AND THOUGHTFUL AS TO OUR COMING AND GOING WITH CHILDREN DURING THE TEAR DOWN AND REPLACEMENT PROCESS. THEY TOOK EXTRA CARE TO CLEAN UP ALL AREAS OF OUR HOUSE ON BOTH EVENINGS. ROB WAS INSIGHTFUL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE WORK THAT WAS COMPLETED.

BOB WAS EXCEPTIONAL. INASMUCH AS HIS COMPANY WAS ACCEPTING ONLY COMPLETE RE-ROOFING JOBS, HE MANAGED TO FIT OUR MINOR REPAIRS INTO HIS SCHEDULE. THE WORK WAS EXCELLENT AND EFFICIENT.

ROBERT AND HIS CREW DID A GREAT JOB ON THE ROOF. THE WORK ON THE ROOF WAS DONE IN 1 DAY AND THEY CLEANED UP NICELY. WE ALSO HAD 6" SEAMLESS GUTTERS PUT ON... MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THE GUTTER GUYS DID NOT CLEAN UP, I.E. SWEEP DRIVEWAY AND USE A MAGNET TO PICK UP STAPLES AND NAILS THAT WERE IN THE GUTTERS THAT WERE REMOVED. OTHER THAN THAT... GREAT GROUP TO WORK WITH... WILL REFER THEM TO ALL THE NEIGHBORS.

THE CREW WAS ON TIME, HIGHLY EFFICIENT, AND DID AN OUTSTANDING JOB.

THE SERVICE IS EXCELLENT AND THE ROOF LOOKS GREAT! GREAT CHOICE OF SHINGLE COLORS AND STYLE. IT'S JUST PERFECT!

GOOD: ROBERT WAS PLEASANT, PUNCTUAL (IN PERSON), WAS THE ONLY RESPONDER TO QUOTE BY E-MAIL, WAS 2ND LOWEST IN PRICE, AND THE WORK WAS DONE QUICKLY AND SEEMS SOUND. WATERTIGHTNESS NOT YET TESTED. NOT GOOD: TOOK A WEEK TO RESPOND WITH MINOR CHANGES AND A FINAL QUOTE. GRANULES AND OTHER DEBRIS WERE NOT CLEANED FROM THE ROOF UPON COMPLETION, LEAVING OBVIOUS DARK AREAS. GRANULES HAD ALSO BEEN SCRAPED FROM SEVERAL SHINGLES. THE INSTALLERS OMITTED THE QUOTED GUTTER APRON, REQUIRING A RETURN VISIT 4 DAYS LATER TO FINISH THE JOB. THE GUTTER APRON AND RIDGE VENT LOOK UNEVEN COMPARED TO SIMILAR SURROUNDING HOUSES, ALTHOUGH ROBERT ATTRIBUTED THIS TO THE TYPE OF VENT USED, AND TO THE AGE OF THE HOUSE CAUSING THE DECK TO WARP AND GUTTER TO SAG. NOTE: THE ROOF WAS BLOWN CLEAN ON THE RETURN VISIT TO INSTALL THE GUTTER APRON. ONE WONDERS IF IT WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE IF THE RETURN VISIT HADN'T BEEN REQUIRED. NOTE: THE TRAILER USED FOR OLD SHINGLES DAMAGED THE ASPHALT IN FRONT OF THE HOUSE.

CHOSE BECAUSE OF ANGIE'S LIST AND THEY DID A SUCCESSFUL REPAIR FOR US LAST YEAR. ROBERT STEVENS EMAILED US OUR QUOTE, AND I WAS ABLE TO KEEP TRACK OF THE SCHEDULE VIA EMAIL - VERY CONVENIENT FOR ME. ALSO QUICK PHONE RESPONSE. CREW CAME A WEEK LATE BECAUSE OF RAIN. WHEN THEY DID COME, THE CREW STAYED ABOUT 12 HOURS THE FIRST DAY, THEN FINISHED IN ABOUT 3 HOURS THE SECOND DAY. ALL HISPANIC CREW, BUT SOMEONE ON SITE SPOKE ENGLISH. VERY HARDWORKING.
