 + 0 moreWe took our decorator with us to Rich's and worked with Rich's salesperson to find the right size, color and material for our L-shaped couch and ottoman. Rich's have many couch selections and fabric choices to customize. It was a successful project.

Description of Work: I didn't buy from Richs. I did look there several times and the staff was very helpful. The one item I wanted had been discontinued but they took the time to try to find it for me. Then they called to tell me they couldn't get it. Another item I was interested in was just above my budget.

Description of Work: This was one of the most depressing stores I have ever been in! My husband and I felt like we were at a flea market, because everything looked like it was years old. We couldn't get out fast enough.

 + -1 moreWHILE WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH BOB RICH (THE FATHER AND OWNER OF THE STORE) AND HIS PROFESSIONAL MANNER, WE ARE STILL ANGRY THAT CHRIS (THE SON) LIED TO US. HIS VERSION OF WHAT HAPPENED IS NOT PLAUSIBLE. WHEN THE REPAIRED SOFA WAS DELIVERED, WE ASKED THE DELIVERY MEN IF THEY REMEMBERED THE INCIDENT AND THEY CONFIRMED THAT CHRIS RICH DID INDEED TELL THEM ON THE PHONE THAT HE WOULD ORDER A NEW SOFA BECAUSE OF THE DIFFERENCE IN THE DYE LOTS. WHEN WE RETRIEVED OUR ORIGINAL PILLOW, CHRIS BROUGHT IT OUT WITH TWO OTHER PILLOWS THAT BELONGED TO THE SOFA WE REJECTED. IT WAS OBVIOUS WHICH ONE WAS OURS, AS WE COULD EASILY SEE THE COLOR DIFFERENCE. BOB RICH AGREED THAT HE SAW THE COLOR DIFFERENCE AS WELL. WHILE BOB UNDERSTANDS PROFESSIONALISM AND HOW TO TAKE CARE OF HIS CUSTOMERS, CHRIS DOES NOT. HIS BEHAVIOR WAS INEXCUSABLE! IT WILL BE A SAD DAY IF CHRIS RICH EVER TAKES OVER THE RUNNING OF THIS WONDERFUL BUSINESS.
Description of Work: THE CATEGORY GRADES ABOVE REFLECT A MELDING OF OUR EXPERIENCE WITH BOTH BOB (GOOD) AND CHRIS (BAD) RICH. BOB IS THE ONLY REASON THEY WEREN'T ALL FS (EXCEPT PRICE). A VERY NICE SOFA WAS PURCHASED. JUST AFTER DELIVERY, A CRACK IN THE FRAME WAS FOUND. WE KEPT THE FIRST SOFA WHILE A SECOND WAS ORDERED. WHEN THE SECOND SOFA WAS DELIVERED, THE FABRIC WAS NOTICED TO BE A DIFFERENT COLOR! THE DELIVERY MAN CALLED THE STORE AND SPOKE WITH CHRIS RICH. HE TOLD THE DELIVERY MAN THAT A NEW SOFA WOULD BE ORDERED. THE DELIVERY MAN TOOK A PILLOW FROM THE ORIGINAL SOFA SO THAT THE DYE LOTS COULD BE MATCHED. MONTHS PASSED WITH NO WORD OF THE NEW SOFA. UPON CALLING TO FIND OUT WHAT HAD HAPPENED, CHRIS RICH DENIED HAVING SAID HE'D ORDER A NEW SOFA. HE HAD NO ANSWER FOR WHY A PILLOW HAD BEEN SENT BACK TO THE STORE. THEY EVEN PUT OUR PILLOW OUT ON THE DISPLAY SOFA FOR PEOPLE TO SIT ON! WE WENT TO SEE BOB RICH WHO WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE HAD OUR ORIGINAL SOFA REPAIRED VERY SATISFACTORILY.
