Sewing Machine Repair

When I delivered the machine for service I was treated in a condescending way and the sales clerk implied that I had done something wrong.  I have used this machine daily for six years without any problems and had annual service performed at another shop that is now closed.  When I brought the machine home I found it had the same problems.  I called the store and was told I was using the wrong kind of thread.  
I took the machine to another Bernina repair shop in Bloomington.  When he looked at the sewing sample from Quilt Quarters he pointed out several problems and said "...looks like they just gave up on it."  I mentioned that the bobbin empty indication no longer worked and he said it had been turned off.  I got my machine back today from the Bloomington shop and it is now like brand new.  The service price there was only $69.95!
I feel  that Quilt Quarters cost me six hours of travel time and $99.95 for nothing.
Don't take your Bernina to Quilt Quarters for service.

"When the sewing machine was picked up at the store after service on 3/18/13, we went over the machine with and discussed what was found by the technician and showed (member name removed) her the sample of the stitching that was performed by the technician after the machine was serviced. (member name removed) did not find anything wrong with the look of the stitching at that time. Later on the 3/18/13, we were called and (member name removed) stated that she was still getting the same tension problem. We told her that she was welcome to bring the sewing machine back to the shop and we would determine why she was not getting the same tension as our technician. Tension on a sewing machine can be affected by the combination of thread and needles that are being used on the fabric. She stated that she would bring it back, We are sorry that (member name removed) did not feel that we serviced her sewing machine to her satisfaction. We would have been happy to keep working on the machine at no additional charge until she was completely satisfied. We have been servicing sewing machines for almost twenty years and want to do everything we can for sewers to enjoy their sewing experience."
